What an incredibly exciting game. Bummed that we lost. So much positive in Belo, BBV, tenacity, depth, versatility to take away. I feel better about the team's prospects in March now than I did early this morning. Belo will make a huge difference but the team will have to get used to playing with him out there.

We displayed so much heart. We're a better team with Belo back. A B1G title is very much in play.
Some bad calls, lot of grit..Andre is back and BV found rotation spot... bad ending but some good signs to take away
Said it in the game thread but if you remain of the mind that horrid officiating doesn’t influence outcomes I don’t know what to tell you.
Illini had their chances, regardless, hell of a game! I like this team in March!

Loss sucks but if curbelo can give a fraction of what he did today moving forward, this team will be in great shape.
Great effort. Hard to overcome one sided officiating for the most part and a good team in the same game. Purdue also made a lot of difficult shots.
I live near DC and couldn’t watch the end of the game because of Howard who never gets their game on TV. I guess I need to go to the Maryland game

Purdue is a great team. Looking forward to the rematch. So happy that Curbelo is healthy again. And BBV, wow... what a game from him.

We played terrific.
Also, age + experience is slowly teaching me to remember the larger context of the season in my reactions to each individual game.
In one month, we're not gonna remember this game as the contest in which we got jobbed by an unending chain of suspect calls... We're gonna be talking about this game as the "Return of the Curb", the installation of the final major piece of our 2022 season that turned the Fighting Illini into a Final Four caliber team.

Saw this one coming. Purdue needed this one very badly, came out on fire and jumped on us.. Can never get a B1G game in without shaking my head at the officials, though..
And we're at home. Crazy.
it's like last years Rutgers game except it doesnt feel as terrible since at least Purdue is ranked.
