I'm gonna have to check it out on Hulu , but I think I remember it's like a $ 4.99 per month add on........Is peacock included with anything already? Like prime or YouTube tv or whatever

I just checked and fees are now $ 5.99 with ads and $ 11.99 for ad free monthly....Peacock is $6/month with ads, $10/month for "ad free" (which they then say might still have ads, especially for sports)
I found a code to get the base level for $2/month for the first 6 months so I signed up. The code is PEA6ZW11DTP
(Dan - I hope its OK to post the code, I checked the rules and didn't see anything that said we can't, delete if it's not OK)
At least I am into two other Peacock staples: WWE and Premier League.
I'm pretty sure that's Paramount. I think...They also are the streaming home for Yellowstone, for those on here who like that show or would like to check it out.
Yellowstone is on both. We love that show.I'm pretty sure that's Paramount. I think...
There are too many.
I would be surprised if it is TOO many. While Peacock is clearly an unenviable TV position, NBC also seems to be pushing "decent" games on that platform to try to drive subscription revenue. They have already had Michigan, Penn State and MSU vs. a top 10 Washington team on Peacock so far. In other words, while it sucks and I'm sure it cuts into our ratings, it's not the same as getting dumped to ESPNU. Looking at our remaining games...
vs. Florida Atlantic: 2:30 pm on BTN
at Purdue: 2:30 pm on Peacock
vs. Nebraska: Friday at 7:00 pm on FS1
at Maryland: TBD officially ... however, it was reported earlier this year that it would be 11:00 am on Peacock.
vs. Wisconsin: TBD ... likely to get a decent TV slot. OSU/PSU will get the best one this week, and two games are said to be on NBC - Minnesota/Iowa at 2:30 pm and Michigan/MSU at 6:30 pm. It's possible the Illini/Wisconsin game could be meaningful for the West, and I think they would at least want it on BTN.
at Minnesota: TBD ... it was reported that Iowa/Northwestern at Wrigley would be at 2:30 pm on Peacock, though, so hopefully that is true!
vs. Indiana: TBD ... it was similarly reported earlier that Minnesota/Purdue would be at 11:00 am on Peacock, so hopefully this once again means we are clear of that.
at Iowa: TBD ... but I think this will get a good TV spot. It very well might be for the West in an optimistic scenario for us.
vs. Northwestern: TBD ... definitely possible, but I could see this one being on like ESPNU, lol. We deliver decent ratings, but NU brings literally nothing to the table.
There are commercials, but you can pause, watch it on a slight delay to avoid commercials. Is there any benefit to subscribing to the premium channel just for this game? Will there be commercials regardless of which option you choose?
yea , rightI can remember when games might not be on TV at all. $12 seems kinda small considering you can fill your entire house with people to watch the game and pass that hat.

I can count on one finger the number of people I know who want to watch Illinois footballI can remember when games might not be on TV at all. $12 seems kinda small considering you can fill your entire house with people to watch the game and pass that hat.
Do you live in the woods or something? Let’s leave it to rival fan bases to say this kind of BS.I can count on one finger the number of people I know who want to watch Illinois football
I live in South Carolina. I know how much you care about viewership, sorry to offendDo you live in the woods or something? Let’s leave it to rival fan bases to say this kind of BS.
Don’t think it was BS. I think the OP was simply saying he lives in an area where there aren’t a lot of Illini fans. (South Carolina it seems)Do you live in the woods or something? Let’s leave it to rival fan bases to say this kind of BS.
Comcast/Xfinity offers a free subscription to Peacock if you are a Platinum or Diamond subscriber. The level is based on the number of years you have been a customer. There are also other ways you can qualify for free Peacock. Is peacock included with anything already? Like prime or YouTube tv or whatever
My statement was factual because of where I live, but the count wouldn't be much higher if I still lived in Illinois, sadly. Mostly I was just laughing at the idea of charging people money to watch an Illinois football game.Don’t think it was BS. So having a big watch party where you can pass the hat isn’t really doable. Though, I think we can all agree 12 bucks isn’t really very much money unless your budget is super tight.
No apology necessary. It was a smartass remark on my part.Apologies for any overreaction or lack of consideration for geographical location, but I still maintain that it's kind of lame for an Illini football fan should insinuate already that Illini football is some uniquely unappealing topic that even our own fans see as that undesirable...
Obviously, in a vacuum, I think forcing people to get Peacock for ANY college football game is bogus as hell! I just don't think we deserve a specific callout, let alone from our own fans.
You rang....100%
As to stream quality, am assuming it'll be VVG, at a minimum. Have been a Peacock subscriber for years (EPL footy) and the picture quality is uniformly excellent.
Totally get the carping. That said, this is the world in which we live. Want to watch your team? Ante up.
