Zags only up 11 on Merrimack at half. No one's looking like a juggernaut this year.

EDIT: They've opened it up a bit since I posted this.

My kids are Purdue alumni/students. Griping about being #1 and losing the next game to Rutgers. I can relate - my sophomore year #3 Illinois beat #1 MSU (with Magic), then lost to OSU the next game.

As SI said that week (with Derek Holcomb on the cover) - Fratricide in the Big Ten.
My senior year at UICU. That team also lost their only PG after that MSU win.
I think our season turns out considerably better than that one even if our PG can't come back.

Wild night... not only did Purdue go down, but Iowa getting pasted by ISU on the road. C. Keegan is 0 for 10 in the second half and has not scored. ISU up 52 to 29 over Iowa with 13 minutes left.

Sent this to my Boiler friends. It was not received well.

Purdue’s record not being ranked #1: 17674-12630

Purdue’s record ranked #1: 0-1
I'm sure they'll even that up on Sunday and totally redeem themselves. 😚

That's not what's important here, though, according to sports-reference.com.
Before tonight, Purdue had an all-time winning percentage of 64.06%. Illinois had an all-time percentage of 64.04%. Guess what that means?

Illinois basketball all-time winning percentage: 64.045%
Purdue bastketball all-time winning percentage: 64.043%
