Remember when some of you haters here ran off 0440 for like a month?
This is why we don’t like you.
Remember when he returned?

Might just be bad timing, in terms of our needs and the kids position.I have a close friend who is the father of a recruit. He said that Illinois is the only Big Ten school not to reach out to his son, which I didn’t love. But…he then went on to say, Coach Anderson is the best hire at the college level. Went on and on about him. This was 3 months ago. Said that if Illinois could keep him we would be a contender year after year. He isn’t a fan of IL btw. Was great to hear and now TA delivers.
Not solely directed at you, but I’m aware 247 composite has only been around for ~20 years.as others pointed out, that list is missing some key players from the great 2005 squad
Tim's Kuato, obviously.Who is Mike Anderson
Like I said
BU is the new lou, not really but getting pretty dang close, hates zone, too.I'll show my age. That's not the case for me when Lou and the staff were here.
Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson Airplane, which cleared the way for Jefferson Starship. The stage was now set for the Anderson Underwood Project, which I believe was some sort of hovercraft.Ty and the Skyy.....by the lesser known Anderson Underwood Project
Edit: only Gen X and older will get this
That's 2022-23 ---- nicely summarized in two simple sentences!!Preseason top 5?
Returning Kofi, Hawk, our sophomore trio, then 8th ranked recruiting class, and transferring Dainja and TSJ… pretty damn solid team!!
It's like re-overloading because, if/when Kofi returns, we have more top to bottom talent, albeit very young talent, than we had last year. At least potential talent.247 composite rankings went from 18th to 8th in the country...great job on reloading.
Not a surprise
If Kofi stays and we pick up Shannon, next year's team will be right up there. Can anyone think of a more talented Illini team since the Flying Illini? I can't. The 2005 team was exceptional, but I don't think the potential talent was this good from top to bottom. And, Brad, and the other coaches will develop these players to their top ability.
I want to say on pure rankings that class with Jereme Richmond and those that were already here might be higher or close to it. Of course, those classes didn't quite meet the billing. Can anyone think of a more talented Illini team since the Flying Illini? I can't. The 2005 team was exceptional, but I don't think the potential talent was this good from top to bottom. And, Brad, and the other coaches will develop these players to their top ability.
finally found the whole videoAnyone have the whole commitment video, can’t seem to find it anywhere?
First of many to come.First 247 five-star commitment ever!
Yep. We have 6-7 players can play 1-3. Especially the SG position is very crowded now. I don't want to jinx but I start to doubt how long we can keep all these great guards on roster. Definitely a good problem to have.Might just be bad timing, in terms of our needs and the kids position.
I mean, you know what they say about going to play for Juwan: If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. But there'll be people criticizing him for choosing Illinois. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, but I love his game.In light of the staff's recruiting prowess I simply look at Juwan, Tom, Paint, Greg, Chris and Fran and think "I wouldn't want to be like you."
