Welp, team struggles in a scrimmage. Loyalty "OMG IT'S A DUMPSTER FIRE" crew struggles in game evaluation.

Sounds about right for August.

Except....SMFH. Sophomore leap.....pun intended.
Hey bro , it sounds like the pre season half empty stance for the game thread crew , as if they need anymore negative Nancy seasoning.........

Life is a trip...............It's how you look at things that make it a fun ride OR the end of the world we're doomed aspect that is so interesting to see............

I would imagine you can tell by the content of a poster's post here and correlate that to how inspiring their personal life is.........

After a while it becomes readily apparent by the way a person posts how much fun they are having in their existence here in this dimension........I wonder how those same peeps feel about the end of this earthly existence.......Does it drive them mad to the point of dispair ??.....................Inquiring minds want to know .................( well maybe they do ).......I really have other things to do with my short tenure here on Earth...........I really really do ...........................

You have a little more leeway in FIBA to be physical defensively. I wonder if we had to adjust to that and how much, if any, it helped our comeback.

When you can be super aggressive defensively without worrying about fouls, you can force some turnovers and make a comeback.

I think I counted 3 drives by Sencire where he finishes with his right hand. I remember from last year and even some HS highlights that he finishes with his right hand often.

That will definitely be an advantage for him as he continues to grow as a player. A lefty that almost always (or at least OFTEN) finishes right could throw off some defenders, for sure.

I imagine streaming the game is not allowed. I presume the staff wouldn't want that? So the media can't start narratives that get in the players heads? Positive or negative. So fans on Twitter and message boards don't get too many ideas?

Just saying, anyone could set their phone on a tripod and stream anything live to YouTube or wherever. It can't be that it's impossible to stream the game, it has to be that it isn't allowed. I'd be curious why exactly.
Attendance was 122.....dont know if that includes players and staff...but that sounds like it was closed to the public..so any filming was probably very limited

I went to Spain a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. This is an incredible experience for those kids. That said, I'm not sure how I would have physically felt trying to play a game the very next day after landing. I tried to stretch out as much as I could on the flight but I can't imagine how anyone over 6' would feel after being cramped in a small area for 8 hours. Every person has a different experience, some can sleep well on the plane but chances are several of the players didn't adjust well at all. I'd be surprised if anyone could shoot well within the first 48 hours let alone players that aren't particularly known for being light out shooters.
Because of this. there is no value at all to make this public or livestreamed when the average fan would nitpick any flaw they find without context of the trip's purposes.

To be fair of those that are critical, PG was the hot topic of the off-season and the #1 question mark going into the season. It's been said, by some, that Ty is the guy to run the show. Concerns about turnovers, field goal shooting and free throw shooting were the focus. Game 1(though only a scrimmage)....it just adds on to the anxiety at that position.

They simply need an answer at that position. If he's it, perfect. That development needs to happen in a very, very short amount of time. This trip couldn't have come at a better time(season).

I doubt there’s much to make of any of these games but what do we make of Moretti playing more minutes than DGL.
Hopefully to get a good look at what he can contribute to this team. He was brought up numerous times to be recruited over. So possibly this trip can be an opportunity to get a good look at him and where he's used to playing.

In interviews, Harris has said he has been working hard on improving his shot since last Spring. I still don't want him taking almost a fifth of the team's shot attempts.
If he's the hot hand and it helps us win, I don't care who takes the shots! Just put the ball in the basket! If it's going in, keep shooting. You miss 100% of the shots you never take is my motto! Sencire played well. Bravo 👏🏾

I doubt this would ever happen /s
