winning the last two, the way we have, shows a lot of what this team is made of. We are 8-2 in our last ten. That is some resolve after losing Waino.

Rack up the wins while you can, boys, because the regression train will be coming soon. Hard to keep up this rate of winning.

Great to be on the right side of all these games. Has to feel awful for the Pirates.

I didn't think we could win that game after Alverez(sp) hit the homer. Great comeback and great pitching all around. Bring on the Cubbies!

Great win! Hope the bullpen isn't too exhausted for the Bruins.

Hope we're up big in the 9th, gotta think rosie won't be available tomorrow.

I'll be taking in my first live action of the season. I'm actually excited to see the young guys on the cubs, I know that sounds like sacrilege, and I feel kinda dirty having just typed it, so hopefully they all go 0-4.

This is why I don't like Cruz, he can't manage the pitchers. Molina would have talked to Martinez a few times already. Cruz just turns around and walks away after each play, doesn't say anything during balls.

Matheny messed up. Gotta rest Molina when Lackey or Lynn are pitching. Martinez is the last starter I would want Cruz catching.

Completely agree. Molina has to catch Martinez. Matheny should have started Cruz Saturday, or like guys on FSMW said yesterday bring Cruz into catch and put Molina at first when we were in extras.

Or started Molina tonight and Cruz tomorrow when Lyons pitches...

This team! You can never get too good of a start. All of these games matter and I just don't want to look back and say "we should've had that game in May". This thing is going to be close in the National League, all the way through. Keep grinding and if we just turn out to be a "great regular season" team this year, atleast that affords us a chance in October. Food for thought as the schedule tightens up, with our start, we can afford to be about 10 over .500 from here on out and get to 90 wins. I use 90 wins as a huge starting point for postseason achievement.

P.S. Where is WPR a and CardsIlliniFan? I hope they are well in health and choose not to be here on this board.

Wow! Great win. Let's take the series at least 3-1. Sweep would be better, of course!

Dunno about WPR, but cards is banned

#freecardsillinifan8 lol.

Was a good game to take in live tonight. Extremely frustrating at first but got to see a great game where we just kept fighting to get back in it, and also 2 streakers, lmao.

I'm pretty stunned by this team. Not just at the streak, but how it's everyone contributing. Just when it seemed like the offense might fall apart two weeks ago, Adams starts to light it up. After that, other parts of the team starting to find their way on base. Last night, it's Reynolds. Every time a pitcher has a bad game, the offense unloads. When they don't have a bad game, the pitching staff is unbelievable. Only 68 runs given up so far. Run differential of +41, topped only by KC's +45. 10 fewer runs given up than any other team.

One thing about last night's game that I found interesting. After the Cubs scored the first five, and Carlos finally got out of it, I didn't see a single player on either side change their mood. The Cubs were still serious, and the Cards didn't seem fazed, even Martinez, who looked sullen and a little shocked but his demeanor wasn't that of dejection. It was like they all knew this game wasn't going to end 5-0, and that it wasn't over. I'm still not convinced the Cards are going to hold on to this thing, but it's going to be awfully fun to watch.
