I wish that MLB Network would air the Cardinals broadcast more often. I can not stand listening to the Pirates broadcasters, they are boring.

Ex-Cardinal Allen Craig being shipped to the minors:

So with Jay going to the DL yesterday we recalled Scruggs who they say is an IF/OF which we know really is only 1B, so why didn't we call up Piscotty? Are we not wanting to start his clock? That seems stupid to me, we should have brought up an OF. We didn't need another 1B player.

Not sure on Piscotty, but Mark Reynolds can play in the OF. Is Grichuk coming back soon?
Did Jaime get activated or is he just in town to hang out with the team? I saw him on bench as they were heading to locker room during rain delay.
Hasn't been activated yet but it looks like he could be replacing Lyons in the rotation with Jaime's first start scheduled to be Thursday afternoon in New York against the Mets with Jacob deGrom likely opposing him.
Former Cardinals pitcher Shelby Miller was 1 out away from a no hitter today. Sure wish we had his innings this year.
Matheny announced before tonight's game that Jaime Garcia will start on Thursday in New York.

I mostly agree. And even though he left Lynn in vs miggy, I don't think there was a snowballs chance in hell he was going to see a strike. Unintentioal intentional is what it looked like to me, nobody was going to pitch to him, may as well let Lynn walk him so maness could come in and concentrate on getting the ground ball. This is great news.
People have been down on MM in the past and he has made me scratch my head from time to time, but I love how he is handling the club this year. Granted, everything is good when you are winning, but given the hands dealt, he has done terrific. I loved him leaving Lynn in there against Miggy here at the end of the game against the Tigers. The ESPN announcers didn't agree, but this was a message and a passing of the torch for the season to Lance tonight. He may have walked him on 4 pitches, but I liked it.
Against the Marlins....and Heyward is too valuable to us
Sure it was the Marlins and yeah, Heyward is valuable but Shelby has a 1.33 ERA so far this season
