St. Louis Cardinals 2015 Season

Don't remember where, but I read somewhere that Lynn knew there was something wrong early on, but with Waino already out he opted to wait on surgery and pitch through it rather than put the club in the tough spot of having to replace another pitcher. You could tell all year he wasn't right, but he still ate a lot of innings and pitched relatively well.

I already was a Lynn fan, but that just scored him some more major points in my book. Hope his recovery goes well and he's back to all star form in 2017. Even with the injury this year he still has 60 wins the past 4 seasons... that's incredibly good.

Just read that yesterday. I gained a lot more respect for him. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

My cousin shared an article on FB that we are exploring the idea of adding Freddie Freeman. I didn't read it, but thought I would share that.

Man, some sort of news, or at least a really strong rumor would be great right about now. Starting to have withdrawls.

Some guys on mlb network earlier this week we're talking about landing places for heyward. Baltimore and Anaheim were mentioned as good fits. I wonder if there's intel circulating that he probably won't be resigning in stl, or if they were just overlooking us as they often do.

Saw an article saying that a good trade partner with the Marlins for Jose Fernandez is us! Also, there were 4 other teams, but that is all I have really heard/read about us and anyone.

A little talk about the cards and chris davis too, but I haven't heard anything particularly juicy yet. Not enough to get excited about

Price to redsox. 7/217. Must have been way more than any of the nl teams were offering, cause I hear he preferred to go to nl

Didn't get Price but it's encouraging that we are willing to spend the money. Still a lot of options out there. We are also reportedly interested in Maeda from Japan, which would be an interesting buy. I was really hoping we would have Heyward signed early, but I'm still confident we'll bring him back.

Trade cruz away to KC for a minor league infielder. Phillies claim Bourjous off of waivers. I would hope this means Heyward is close to being signed by letting go of Bourjous(IMO, was average but loved element he brought to team).

Bourjos was gone no matter what happens to Heyward. Pham, Grichuk, and Piscotty are more than enough to let Bourjos go. And if Heyward leaves we will sign another bat rather than bringing back Bourjos.

I agree with you jrich. Hope Heyward deal is wrapped up shortly since Price went elsewhere. Wouldn't mind Zobrist either.
