WTF is Marmol doing taking out Matz with only 75 pitches ??....I know Matz has been in the bullpen , but it just seems like Marmol
is trying to lose the game .........And bring in Hudson , the walk machine..............SMH

I hope BU “going with what he has” at the PG position doesn’t parallel the Cardinals “going with what we have” in the off-season on starting pitching

Fun game to be at today. Glad to go in to the break with a dub. Can't wait to see who we draft tonight. Pitching probably.

Pallante , Romero , and others are NOT MLB worthy right now........This team is not very good at all............why do I put myself through this crap ??

How do the cheap arse Marlins trot out quality reliever's and we don't have a clue ...........
I say its because our management are cheap asses when it comes to signing guys for the bullpen.. probably wrong but thats my 2cents. I honestly believe we only need one more quality starter to replace Waino but need at least 3 - 4 new relievers.

The problem with pitching is most of them are not very consistent. They can be great one year and horrible the next. Then they are mediocre and then back to being good again.

Montgomery and Flaherty are free agents if not extended before the offseason. Flaherty is gone for sure if that happens, best case 50/50 on Montgomery back. If a bidding war he is gone.

I am not expecting much again if Mikolas, Flaherty, Montgomery, Matz and another starter for next season. We have a few spots to fill in starting rotation and bullpen. They need to trade away the pieces not returning next season even if for little gain at worst/best.

Kilcoyne asked the right questions........got the mumbo jumbo answers Mo gives.......got more out of Kilcoyne and his 2-3 minute breakdown at the end than the interview with Mo.

Basically is open tryout season to see who gets moved before the trade deadline. Starters like Flaherty/Montgomery have 2-3 starts left to improve their value even more. Same goes with bullpen/field positions. Mo knows he screwed the pooch with keeping TON around and other moves just by his tone. I look for them to make some moves. I also see Mo not rushing to trade any free agents to be if he feels the draft pick would be higher in the offseason.

As a non-Cards fan, I’m very curious to see how they handle this trade deadline. We just haven’t seen the Cardinals in this situation in basically a generation.

It will be interesting to see if they just part with some expiring contracts and basically treat this year as a mulligan and try to run it back next year (possibly with a different manager), or if they try to make some more fundamental changes to the makeup of the team by shedding and/or acquiring more long-term pieces.

In the end, you’ll get a better picture of what the front office really thinks of the personnel based on their actions instead of their words.
