The Cardinals play the Diamondbacks tonight at 8:40 pm with Waino starting.............With my fandom waning heavily I wonder if it's prudent to stay up that late for a batting practice performance from him.......2 injections supposedly has allowed waino to reclaim his youth and instead of a scheduled bullpen session set for Monday has turned into a starting gig......What I find humorous is that Waino starting tonight will assuredly turn into a bullpen game .........I just wonder what the O/U will be tonight with runs given up by Waino..............................To go from a 6 game win streak to the last 3 abominations against the loathesome-able cubbies has returned the angst of a below .500 season and a trade deadline full of trades that the Cardinals will be selling low and returning low , as far as players or prospects........

I read yesterday from some articles that the Cardinals are shopping Contreras , as in the Cardinals are doing the calling , not them getting calls for Contreras.........

I have never liked the idea of rushing a layer back. Not taking the time for 3-4 games for a position player and 2 or 3 starts for a SP is not a good idea. I don;t care who it is.

Nothing has changed for awhile.....increase trade values and play for next season. Best case scenario is a few vets are moved at multiple positions to clear cap space and bring more youth up for this season and next.

Love to see more Herrera and Winn this season

Here is a recent jewell from Mo. We, I guess the front office, expected Dakota Hudson to be one of the starters this year.

Herrera has been sent back to the minors.

Suarez, the guy they just called up, has been stretched out as a starter his last few starts so they may piggy back him with Waino, especially since Waino will only go about 65 pitches tonight. Have to remember that Hudson was supposed to be the scheduled starter tonight but had to be used during Saturday's game so the Cardinals were basically in a tight spot.

THATS A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cardinals win 10-6..............

5 run 9th inning for the Cardinals.......yeah , we all saw that coming ............lol

Noot with the game winning walk.........TON with a based loaded clearing double........

Tough luck for Waino as he pitched well enough for the win..................

Goldie and Nado with HR bombs....................

while I didn’t like the idea of trading him, I didn’t expect a multi year contract.

They were talking about this on KTRS on my way home tonight. The way Katie Woo framed it, they'll try and sign him to an extension before the trade deadline and if that doesn't end up happening, they'll trade him. Hicks has said though that he'd like to come back in free agency even if he ends up getting traded away.
