From Bernie Miklasz. From 2011-2015 (5 years), the Cardinals played in 61 post seasom games winning 32. From 2016-2023 (8 years), the Cardinals have appeared in 15 post season games winning 4.

Infielder Thomas Saggese, Class AA Springfield: A day after reaching the 100-RBI plateau for the first time in his professional career, Saggese drove in another three runs, and they came in a pivotal moment. With Springfield trailing by 3-1 in the seventh inning, Saggese tripled home three runs to put the S-Cards up a run in their eventual 6-5 win. Saggese’s triple was his third in 26 games since he joined the Cardinals’ organization following a trade with the Rangers. The 21-year-old infielder has produced 25 of his 103 RBIs since he joined Springfield — where he is batting .347 with a 1.137 OPS across 118 plate appearances.

I thought Jimmy had an interesting point or thought about wondering if bringing the umps in on the conversation as to knowing what pitch is coming.

well, that blanking ump missed that pitch calling Contreras out ....that pitch was at least 4 - 5 inches off the plate according to the strike zone bracket......

Just bad. The one he missed high on Tommy was egregious. Still drew the walk, but it was bad.

Now let's walk this off for the 3rd straight game.

I checked in on the Cub/Cincinatti game this afternoon. At the time Bader was playing and was 0-3. My memory is foggy. But would not Bader have been on the Cardinals at the same time David Bell was one of the bench coaches for the Cardinals?

Cards might be trading for more pitching this offseason than expected.

Ohtani injury plus making major $$$ takes Cardinals out of the running. Urias just charged with domestic battery on spouse. He got suspended for 20 games already for domestic issues in the past....not shocked to see 50-60 games or more. Roster needs a shakeup so will be interesting to see this play out in the offseason.

I never thought the Cardinals would be in the Ohtani sweepstakes injury or no injury. Ohtani has made it pretty clear that he wants to stay on the west coast. I agree the roster needs a shake-up.

Neither did I if he went to free agency

It was more the comparison in what I wrote that the top 2 free agent pitchers are not coming here for different reasons and Cardinals will need to be "creative" once again.

JMO but the free agent pitching market does not impress me that much. Guess we will have to see who hits the market if teams don't extend a few guys but not seeing a #1 guy without a trade.

Who is this team playing the Braves? Great hitting, fielding and pitching. Are they a playoff contender?
