I agree that many of the names on the list that KC put together late last season won't be considered. I wouldn't want at least 5 or 6 of them either. I threw it together in a hurry and didn't say who I thought would be the best candidates.
THATS A WINNER....................
Cardinals win 5-1 and take the series...................
Monty again was great and is a necessary re-sign , IMO......
Donovan with another great day , with a 2 run homer....................
Joe is one of the managers I don't want. He will be 70 before the start of the season next year. I don't see him as having the drive to do what it takes for the grinding season.Joe Maddon stands out. I’d take him in a heartbeat right now. He grew up a Cardinals fan.
When I read the article on him my first thought was what went through his mind when the Cardinals signed Contreras.....hope they don't trade him as he is now maturing as the stats show...............Maybe Herrera IS the future after all.
The A's come to town August 14-16.They need to start him against the worst team...oh wait that's us
worst manager of a bullpen in baseballWorst bullpen in baseball
worst manager of a bullpen in baseball
another 1 run loss
another lost lead late in the game
Pallante has been batting practice fodder lately
still in last place and a 100 loss season is a very real possibility
I thought the horrible strike zone of C. B. Bucknor got into Mikolas head. Granted his a professional. A veteran but I am not sure he would have been able to get out of the inning either. One thing is for sure. Gurriel was waiting for that fastball from Pallante. He jumped all over it.Kid manager yanked Miles after 96 pitches in favor of Pallante. The Monday morning QB in me says Miles would have ended the threat without allowing additional runs.
Oli seems to think 100 pitches is a line you don’t cross.

Something is familiar about the way Skip Schumaker invigorated Marlins: Cardinals Extra
Plucked out of the Cardinals' dugout, Skip Schumaker has been empowered to create a new culture in Miami Marlins' clubhouse, and he has them leading wild-card race.www.stltoday.com

The Cardinals' first half has been among their worst in 100-plus years
Through 81 games, the Cardinals are 34-47. Since 1920, they were only worse twice.www.stltoday.com
I know really you don't care, but Herzog resigned in1990 with the Cardinals' record at 33-47. Their record right now is 35-49, with a 94.3% loss probability right now in today's game. No chance Marmol would resign, is there?Contreras picked off 2nd base and Walker & Carlson swing at pitches way out of the strike zone.......this is NOT Cardinal baseball......
I have the same sinking feeling as I did the year that Herzog quit on the team during the season......Don't remember what year that was and really don't care........I'm close to not watching any more games.............Not there yet , but close to it.....
it is worse.......7-0....................jo jo romero ??..........really ??Something has to change. 5-0 in bottom of the 4th today and looking to be worse.
