Marlins have 4 hits tonight that have been inches from an infielders glove.

Donovan , Gorman , Arenado , Goldie , Walker , Nootbaar aren't going anywhere , if I had any say so in the matter.......

JMHO
I'd be fine with moving Noot but it would have to be a pretty sweet deal. Same goes for Edman.

Goldie with only 49 RBI's at this stage of the season concerns me ......I know he has above average stats in a lot of area's but he has been striking out more this year,,,,,Of course , following a MVP year previously is hard to maintain that production......

How many times can Contreras swing at pitches a foot or more out of the strike zone?

THATS A WINNER !!!!!!!!

Arenado with a 3 run bomb in bottom of the 10th to get the win for the Cardinals 5-2.................

Nado with the big hit
Hicks getting out of first & third dilemma with nobody out was excellent......
Jo Jo Romero with an excellent top of 10th relief outing...............................

Go for the sweep tomorrow afternoon..........

let's go Cardinals.............................

Most news outlets are insinuating that Tyler O'Neil being given the left field spot when he returns means Dylan Carlson will probably be traded. It sounds like Dylan was pretty dejected in his after the game interview a couple of nights ago. Having said that, if I were the Cardinals, wouldn't I want to play Tyler and show he is healthy, so I could trade him? I personally think Tyler is the one the Cardinals would rather trade?!

Thought #2... Tyler O'Neil isn't bringing much back in trade negotiations and Dylan Carlson brings a too good to refuse trade package...see ya, Dylan!

What I'm trying to say is, I'd rather keep Carlson over O'Neil if possible. What do you you guys think?

100% rather have Carlson. TON too injury prone

It would not surprise me at all in seeing both TON and Carlson traded...............Nootbaar and Edman ( when healthy ) can cover centerfield...........Walker in right field , and Burleson in left field.......

Burleson has more hitting potential than Carlson , IMHO
Walker is in right field until he fails........doubtful he fails.....too good of a dominant tool package......
Nootbaar , being lefthanded AB , has similar defensive abilities as Carlson........
Edman and Donovan to fill in anywhere except centerfield for Donovan ( I bet he could handle it )
Yepez and others in the minor leagues should be ready to make a jump

TON has worn out his welcome with less than maximum effort , according to Marmol , and has NOT shown the ability to stay healthy........................I would love to see a healthy TON playing 130 + games a year with his offensive power and Gold Glove defense , but will he ever regain that one highly productive year ??..............

I also wonder if the Cardinals plan on trading both Montgomery and Flaherty ??..............................
It wouldn't surprise me for a contract extension agreement coming to fruition for either pitcher.....I also realize that both are already being discussed with potential trade partners..........

I just want someone to make sound trade decisions for the Cardinals and hope that Randy Flores has a major say in what transpires............................

Coming into today his strikeout rate of 21.7% is exactly the same rate he had during his MVP season last season. Slow bat speed at times and reaching makes it seem worse than it actually is.

I have no problems with Donovan at leadoff but Goldy was smashing with Nootbaar in the leadoff spot earlier in the season. Earlier in the season when Nootbaar was leadoff and Goldy was batting 2nd they played 28 games in that order. Think Cardinals were only 1-2 games below .500 during those games and Goldy hit 9 HRs and 18 RBI.
