Cardinals are very cold on TON. It comes down to TON staying healthy and getting him on the field to increase trade value. TON is making just under $5M this season and has one more year left of arbitration before coming a free agent. Cardinals want to move him but comes down to what they can get for him. I never hope for injuries but all it takes is a team in the playoffs/making playoff run that might overpay for some help or because of last second injury. Most news outlets are insinuating that Tyler O'Neil being given the left field spot when he returns means Dylan Carlson will probably be traded. It sounds like Dylan was pretty dejected in his after the game interview a couple of nights ago. Having said that, if I were the Cardinals, wouldn't I want to play Tyler and show he is healthy, so I could trade him? I personally think Tyler is the one the Cardinals would rather trade?!
Thought #2... Tyler O'Neil isn't bringing much back in trade negotiations and Dylan Carlson brings a too good to refuse trade package...see ya, Dylan!
What I'm trying to say is, I'd rather keep Carlson over O'Neil if possible. What do you you guys think?
Said this before but the Cardinals really overvalued Dylan Carlson for years and bit them in the butt. He has 3 years of arbitration after this season and is cheap. Once untouchable is available if they get an incredible offer.
