I would gladly give it up for a WS title.Still got the inside track on a top 5 pick in the MLB Draft too.

A triple AAA managerial decision maker. This managerial situation is on the front office. This pitching staff is on the front office. I hear on some fan pages a call to bring back Schildt. And I remind them that Mike Schildt has been available for almost 2 years. None of the other 29 major league baseball teams has hired him as their manager since he was fired by the Cardinals after the 2021 season.Cards were 5-4 with the Orioles having loaded the bases and Marmol brings in triple AAA at best Pallante and bam !! grand slam.....
unreal..........

Totally correct. The Cardinals were dead in the water before that historic win streak. The pitching issues can be traced back to 2021 and perhaps before. The front office did very little to address those issues. I know they traded for Montgomery and signed Matz. When it became apparent they were not going to be able to sign Montgomery, they they traded him. Montgomery essentially was a rent a player. This is similar to what the White Sox with Bill Veeck as owner use to do in the 1970's.And Cardinals fans in general have revisionist history when it comes to Shildt. He would have been fired the day after the regular season ended had it not been for the long winning streak.
Whats a Mottersome general feelings.
1. It pisses me off that we watch Stearns get hired by the Mets while we limp along with a subpar front office.
2. This team is playing hard right now in the last 2 weeks, almost worthy of my time watching! Go Waino.
3. Last nights Winn/Edman double play combination with range and arm strength might be the best we've had
for a very long time. Edman will be back in the outfield tomorrow.
4. Winn is starting to look better at the plate. he's worth watching develop.
5. Boy do i feel better now that Motter is gone. He made us look like we didn't know a big leaguer when we
saw one!
