St Louis Cardinals 2024

Nolan Gorman on strikeout record watch! 29 AB's....14 K's. Record is 223...he's on pace for 284.😳 Wouldn't be so bad if he was showing power numbers like Kyle Schwarber...but 0 homers in 8 games.

Gritty team this year.....2nd come from behind win already this year............Herrera with a blast , first career HR.........

Marlins now 0-8.....ouch .....feel bad for Skip , but lets make him 0-10 as they leave the Lou on Sunday..............
Pru, you have been very helpful explaining how to use the "new posts' and "ignore" features previously, which I've made much more use of ignore in the recruiting thread.

Can you explain the "follow" feature as I would like to focus on true insider information and yourself included, thank you.

Not Pru, but click on the name of the poster and there is a follow button.

We could have gotten an awfully good pitcher for him in the off season......
and sent him far way from our division. Walker struggled for a week then
remembered how to drive the ball to the opposite field, something Gorman
has not.

We are 8 games into the season. If Gorman is still whiffing 40% of the time by Memorial Day I'll start worrying. He'll dial it in pretty soon I'm confident of that.

THATS A WINNER !!!!!!!!

Cardinals beat the Marlins 3-1......First time i n a long time that we are over .500 at 5 - 4.............

Herrera looks like a keeper as he is hitting the ball great and being very steady behind the plate.........
Winn is hitting good also......
Donovan with a pair of doubles....we missed him last year out with the injury......we really really did.....
Matz looked very impressive.......he would fill a huge void if he can stay healthy.......

poor ole Skip........won Manager of the Year last season , now starting out 0-9 this year...........

Doing what we are supposed to do to this Miami team. Sweep em out of the Lou in the Sunday blues.
We need to get some of this depth back in the OF. I’m happy for Scott and think this drink of water will be huge for him, but he just isn’t ready for this level and that is ok.

Speaking of the Blues....they are next up for my viewing pleasure @ 4:30 pm against the Sharks @ san Jose ....payback time for the embarrassing loss at home to them......then the Final 4 games that I will be recording ....so ta-ta .........it's time for pru and NL # 3 to adjourn to the man cave for some sports viewing and a little one on one action.....Oh , what a life .....it really really is..............

Good luck to the Blues. How are they doing this year? I’ll be looking forward to a possible sneak peek at the NL.

One of these days they'll sign one of these guys and we'll all die from shock 😆
That's why I put zero trust/belief in stories. I have to wait until it's really done before I am able to take any interest in players joining the Cardinals or the Illini. I've been disappointed too many times in the past.

i see Donovan tossing the ball back to the infield on hits. im wondering how bad his injury still is or if its improving?
i know he decided against surgery. i like his bat but wondering if he's a DH once noot, and edman come back? ive
given up on Carlson .i also hate to see Victor back in Memphis but a year in AAA might be what he needs to get that
bat going.

Posted earlier about Tyler O'Neill hitting 4 homers already. Interestingly, he's driven in 4 runs....so his projected stats include 81 homers and 81 rbi's! 😁
