I disagree with this 100%

Cardinals sent him down last season because they want him to line drive the ball not pop it up. His overall batting average didn't change much but he is a force when driving the ball. He resorted back to his basics this season.

2023 batting average by hit trajectory

Ground balls .322

Fly balls .205

Line Drives .633

2024 batting average by hit trajectory so far

Ground balls .286

Fly balls .083

Line Drives .286
thats not the player im watching or the story they are telling on the coverage.

Makes sense…leaves Cards and rakes.

THATS A WINNER !!!!

Cardinals beat the Mets 7-4 and win the series....Cards have won 4 out their last 5 games..
Finally scoring some runs and got another stellar outing from the bullpen....
This Romero and Kittredge duo is awesome....Helsley got into mini jam in the bottom of the 9th but closed it out for his 9th save in 10 chances.....

13 - 14 season record on the ascension....keep it going guys.....

The loss yesterday I put on Marmol for his NON USE of bullpen assest's...............it was stated that Matthew L. was pitching his longest appearance of the season..........I understand NOT using Romero , Kittredge or Helsley for the third straight game , but surely Robertson or King would have been a better option than Liberatore working his increased inning's load........JMHO.........

Also , the bonehead play by Contreras in extra innings doused any future run scoring by the Cards...........Instead of reaching .500 at 14-14 the birds are now 13-15 and still in last place ....

Tonight's Cardinals game in Detroit postponed due to inclement weather in the Motor City. Teams will play a straight doubleheader tomorrow. First game will begin at 2:40 PM CT with the second game starting approximately 40 minutes after Game 1 ends.

You don't see that very often

Could just be an issue with how the schedule works out too. It looks like both teams do have an off day on Thursday and plenty of common off days in May but I'm sure there's some restrictions on so many games being played in so many consecutive days without an off day.

Yeah..I meant that you don't see doubleheaders that aren't split. So there are actually two different crowds

Ah I gotcha. The way the Tigers release read, it sounds like the only folks who for sure would be able to stay for both would be those who originally had tickets for Tuesday's regularly scheduled game. Anyone had tickets to tonight's game could exchange it for tomorrow's doubleheader or for a future game this season of similar value.
