St Louis Cardinals 2024

Ah I gotcha. The way the Tigers release read, it sounds like the only folks who for sure would be able to stay for both would be those who originally had tickets for Tuesday's regularly scheduled game. Anyone had tickets to tonight's game could exchange it for tomorrow's doubleheader or for a future game this season of similar value.
My son and I were going to the game last night. We were walking to the stadium when other fans told us it had been cancelled.

Today's ticketholders get both games. Lucky them. I would have to go to the stadium ticket office and ask for tickets to a future game. (Maybe even today's game.) They would certainly charge me more if I wanted more expensive seats. I am not certain they would refund me the difference if I opted for the cheap seats.
As it is a 6 hour drive home and I have a prior commitment today. I forwarded the tickets to my son and told him to redeem the tickets and take his wife to a game. They live about 45 minutes away from the stadium so it will be easier for them to cash them out.

This is the second time I missed out on watching a baseball game in Detroit. The first time I was in JR High. I had won a trip with a group of Peoria Journal Star paperboys. I cut my thumb and needed 10 stiches. Mom wouldn't let me go so my younger brother went in my place. It's over 50 years ago and I am still upset.

THATS A WINNER !!!!!!!!!

Cardinals get 2 runs in the top of the ninth and beat the Detroit Tigers 2-1.....................

Former Cardinal Jack Flaherty dominated his former team with 14 K's in 7 1/3 innings......
Former Cardinal Shelby Miller gave up the tying and winning runs in the top of the ninth with Burleson getting a single to drive in Arenado , then reserve catcher Pages hit a sac fly for the go ahead run.........
Helsley closed out the bottom of the ninth with 2 K's for his 10th (?) save...........

Cardinals now at 14-15 with a possible sweep of the nightcap to climb to .500............I will be watching the hard hitting Stanley Cup playoffs tonight as I am addicted the intense heavy hitting games this year...........Double and triple the hard hits compared to the regular season.........

GO CARDINALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a game in Detroit a couple years ago. Nice stadium and we enjoyed it although I had no interest in the teams playing. But when we left, man it got sketchy in a hurry. We understood why so many left early.

Sad news if you are an Xfinity subscriber. Bally Sports Midwest is no longer part of their package, effective today

I’m sure the Birds are not the only team in this position, but it is insane to me that I can watch the Cardinals easier in Chicagoland with the MLB Xtra innings app than a person in StL metro. I’m not bitching, but not doing any favors for future support of the team.

It's why I moved from Fubo to YouTube TV. Fubo forced the regional Bally networks and related $15/month subscription fee increase, so I immediately changed to YouTubeTV. Plus, YTTV has Turner stations (NBA, US Soccer, and NHL) while Fubo doesn't.
Youtube has NHL Network?

Living in Paducah I have to use Sportsurge to watch the Cardinals & Blues......No cost involved but the streams are sometimes not reliable , such as buffering , freezing etc etc..........................

Paducah is in the blackout list area for the Cardinals thru MLB streaming...........lol......I'm only 200 miles away from St. Louis..........geesh........

But I get to watch for free and listening to other teams announcers is kinda cool........today is Jason Bennetti & Craig Monroe from the Tigers..........Sometimes I can get Bally Sports Midwest with my Alexa dear heart , but it's only 40-50 % of the time...............Looks like another loss today without another 9th inning comeback.........Color me skeptical................

No, YTTV doesn’t have NHL Network. I don’t watch a lot of hockey, so not a major issue for me. But I could see why hockey fans wouldn’t like that.
I didn't think so. Thought you were saying they did. I really wish they did. They used to have MLB network, but not anymore :(

Ah, I get what you were seeing. The Turner networks (TBS, TNT, and truTV) carry national NHL and NBA games. Turner also has the current contract for US national soccer friendlies and non-tournament games that ESPN and Fox used to have.

I still get it on DIRECTV. By the way coming home from Cotsco yesterday, I caught part of the first game on one of the local radio outlets, which there are several. I just want to say that John Rooney and Rickie Horton are a very good pairing on radio in my opinion. I am not a fan of Brad Thompson. He is more suited for pre game and post game activities.

Odd how the whole TV coverage issues are. We live across the river from StL. The stadium is less than 35 minutes away. BSMW is carried on Spectrum here. We watch prolly 150 games on Bally, there are several on Apple, mostly on Fridays. Go figure.

MLB is killing itself with these ridiculous blackout rules
Yep. I am 4 hours away. I won't be jumping in a car on a Tue to go watch the Cardinals implode. Then drive back home another 4 hours. I would watch the game, if it wasn't blacked out. As are the 2 Chicago teams and Milwaukee. Good thing I can watch the Dodgers games. Oh wait, they don't tart until 9-9:30 and I get up at 5 am.

Just exactly WHO is the target market for MLB games? It's as if they took the Bill Wirtz marketing class at Northwestern or something.

I lived just south of I80 for years in Northeastern Illinois. I got my fill of Cubs and White Sox. By the way Steve Stone is one of the better analysts around in my opinion. Harry Cary and Jimmie Piersall were dynamite back in the day on White Sox broadcasts.
