The focus should not be on an bad umpire, who made a bad call. It should be focused on the fact that this team had the bases loaded with no outs and could not push a run across. Furthermore, Redbird pitching gave up 6 runs to a team that is potentially historically bad. The boys need to look in the mirror. Win today and things are not as bad as they may seem now.
I agree with the bold above , but I can't understand why MLB continues to allow inept umpires to still be employed.....There should be a waiver wire for umps also........if they are in a slump with regards to their on field performance then send them down to class A ball for a while and motivate them to do better.......
Is it because Hernandez is hispanic and Bucknor is black that they are still deciding games with their absolutely terrible calls ????.....
I , myself , don't give a crap what color of skin an ump has.......I really really don't.......I just want better performance's for such an important position in MLB games..........MLB umpires are protected and don't have to answer for their terrible skills or lack there of.....
I know teams have a form to fill out on every game regarding umps , but either the teams are afraid of retribution against them or their reports are being ignored.........Bucknor & Hernandez didn't just now get bad , they have been bad for a long long time .........................
JMHO..............
