I wanted to watch Sonny Gray pitch yesterday, but the way StL is hitting, maybe a rainout is the best thing that could happen.

oh, and lets give that manager another 20 games or so. we'll be 15 games out by then. he lost the clubhouse
late last summer but Moz didn't know?

i think the entire coaching staff and a minimum, 5- 24 man roster players
have to go. Gorman gone. Carlson gone. Noot gone. i mean GONE. I don't
care if they are out of options, no one will want them and more importantly
we don't want them. GM, gone. President, gone! Open a fire sale for
anyone on the roster. We've tolerated this sh__ for too long. Goldy is a
veteran and gets the year to figure things out, i respect him. End of the year,
without stats, gone. Lets see Scott2, Robberse, Walker, Winn, Graceffo, Herrera,
McGreevy, Thompson, Tink, Baker and anybody else i dont know about.

show 'em the door, enough Missouri nice.

Last season was tough to take and was widely viewed as an anomaly. Well, it's looking like the new norm with the crew running the club. In my opinion, It's not too early to make significant and major changes. The changes need to come from the Dewitt family and start with the GM and coach.

Last year was coming for years. The team has been on a long, slow decline over the last decade. Sure, there were a couple of flukish years like 2022, but it was pretty clear that the organization has been trending this way for a long time. The issue is why ownership and the front office couldn't see what was pretty plain for many outside of the organization to see.

Player development has cratered. In addition to that poor decisions have cost this franchise dearly. How many players have the Cardinals developed over the last 5-6 yrs that have played at anything close to All Star level? How many pitchers? Randy Arozarena, Adolis Garcia, Zach Gallen and Sandy Alcantara have. For other teams.

Hopefully this team snaps out of it and starts stringing together wins. But if not and we get up into June with this team mired in last place some really tough decisions will need to be made. If it gets to that point my plan would be to dump every veteran that's making any money. Don't care if you get anything back for them. Play all the young guys the rest of the year and find out if anybody is worth keeping. Rebuild from there.

Changes must be coming right,Chaim Bloom was added this year as the supposed GM of the future.Mo has shown his ineptness enough already, the future should start now.Something is seriously wrong with this team- organization.

Today's loss is brought to you by the number 7. I was hoping we would pull the rabit out of the hat tonight in the 9th...but then I remembered we are hopeless. So, I'm letting this guy do it instead...sigh.

For a years I thought Mo was ahead of the curve. Clearly that is no longer the case. Why fire Shildt after three consecutive post season appearances? “Philosophical differences?” Give me a break! Well Mo, your philosophy ain’t looking too good right now! And why would he extend Marmol’s contract for two years after taking them to their worst finish in the standings in over 30 years? Was he afraid someone was gonna swoop in and take him away? These decisions clearly were not based on job performance. This is a team that could afford to hire an established veteran manager with a history of winning. Why don’t they? I think Mo’s ego had clouded his vision ala Jerry Jones. He wants the credit. After LaRussa retired, he wanted a manager he could control. A yes man. Matheny was a yes man. Marmol is a yes man and Shildt was his own man. Mo wants everyone to know that he is THE man. I don’t blame Marmol for this debacle. He is doing exactly what Mo wants. It’s on Mo. Now that Mo has established beyond all doubt that he is THE man he need to own it. It’s time. Fall on your sword Mo!

Not my first option, but Dewitt must be a fan. This team is becoming very hard to watch, some shake-up is needed.Maybe start with a new hitting coach.
