Winn increases hitting streak to 17 games...

Pallante on the mound for the Cards today , and it's his opportunity to claim the # 5 spot in the rotation with Matz sidelined.......

Walks 2 in the 1st innings but gets a DP to get out of it......no score top of 2nd.......

Carp with a solo shot makes it 1-0 Cards going into bottom of the third.........I thought Winn was safe on the steal attempt , but I'm 72 with poor eyesight .......I really really am........( eyesight is good ) ...

With the way things are looking tonight in Milwaukee, Cardinals could potentially be tied with the Cubs for 2nd with a chance to be ahead of them heading into the series in Philly depending on what happens in tomorrow's day game between the Cubs and Brewers.
