See India was traded by Cincinnati to KC. At least they won’t have to face him as much.

Cardinals appear unlikely to move logical trade candidate

various St. Louis players jumped out as logical trade candidates. Ryan Helsley was chief among them, as the hard-throwing righty is one year from free agency. Helsley is one of the best relievers in baseball and would surely get a lot of attention on the trade market.
Nevertheless, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that teams in contact with the Cardinals expect St. Louis to hold their closer into next season. President of baseball operations John Mozeliak supported that notion. “(A trade is) something we will always remain open-minded to, but our plan is to have him be part of our organization,”

What a joke. Our best trade piece to build for the future and Mo says we are going to hold onto him. What good is Helsley on this team? Now he will most likely get injured and will walk away in free agency providing us nothing.
Only thing I can figure is that with Gray and Contreras wanting to stay and not being able to shed their salaries, the DeWitts have come down with a case of cold feet and think if they hold onto Helsley too the team might be competitive enough to keep ticket sales from tanking and offset their salaries with that revenue.

With the DeWitts it's always about $$$, rarely about wins.
