Apparently this is regular season only. Would be interested to see what this looks like with postseason. I noticed because the Rangers number - we won 4 against them in 2011 WS so 7 looked a little light to me.
I was thinking the same thing. I would think that would a couple against the Yankees too, since we had faced several times in the WS.

Good call, we've faced them more times in playoffs than regular season.

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cardinals ride a walk off smashed tater by Burleson for a 7-6 victory in the first game of a 4 game series against the Pirates........

exciting game with a little bit of everything involved.....Contreras and Marmol ejected arguing balls and strikes called by an inept ump with a changing zone all night long......

McGreevy settled in after the first couple of IP......6 IP , 4 ER , 7 K's.....
Leahy 1 IP , 1 H , 1 BB and he was saved by an excellent play by Winn backing up third and catching the errant throw by Leahy..
O'Brien 1 2/3 IP picks up the win after a HBP allowing the tying run to score.....

" Biscuit " Burleson 4-5 with the walkoff HR.......
Saggese 2-4 , 1 RBI.......
Gorman 1-3 , 1 R , 1 BB , 1 RBI.....
Walker 2-4....
Church 1-3 , 1 R , 1 RBI........

Great nitty gritty win much needed to have outside WC chances.......Contreras with a great bubble gum container throw......it really really was.................

A little over 17,000 in attendance. Sort of surprised me because the corporate season ticket sales are usually more than 20,000. Looks like everyone was fed up with the FO this year.

poor ole Pallante and that run support dilemma.........lol............5-0 Pirates.......unreal.....or maybe he's not a MLB level starter......this is just embarrassing to watch the FO keep trotting him out there to get hit around like a pinata...........

Speculating about next season......

If the Cardinals continue with this runway reset next year I think it's very possible to see a last place finish in the division.....

The Pirates are building a dominating pitching staff and if they can improve their overall offensive production they will have a great chance to leave the Cardinals in their dust.....

I doubt Bloom will be allowed to make the moves necessary for us to be contenders for a divisional title let alone e a WS....

I got a bad feeling the Cardinals are in a position like the 90's with uninspired play and a lack of FO overall to improve the team chances to win especially considering the plummet in attendance this year..

It wouldn't surprise me to see the DeWitts selling the team instead of seeing this runway BS through to the end....

Not a good feeling of seeing another WS title in my lifetime

That depresses me big time....it really really does more than anyone knows......
