Worthy: Cardinals approaching a point where runway and opportunity end for some players
Lars Nootbaar's return will be the most recent change point for the roster, but a larger transition is on the horizon for the Cardinals.www.stltoday.com
Some real baseball analysis going on the TV side today.
Chip: "Brad"? "What do you serve at a pity party"?
Brad: "Coleslaw".
It's a good thing this forum never gets sidetracked. Hey, did he mention cole slaw? What about cottage cheese? Did he say where the best pizza is in East Peoria? This is why I prefer Mark Sweeney over Brad on commentary. When Brad is doing color, they tend to get sidetracked with non-game related stuff more. It happens with Sweeney at times but nowhere near like it does with Brad.
This just makes me so sad. I really had huge hopes for Gorman. What could have been...Gorman now in a 3-38 streak with 19 K's.......wow.......
At least it’s tv! Remember listening to radio games with Shannon. He would start telling his story and you wouldn’t have a clue what was going on in the game. Some real baseball analysis going on the TV side today.

Actually, I enjoy listening to the duo of Rooney and Horton. I believe last Sunday evening the the Cardinals were on Peacock which I do not pay for. And I decided to go to the local drive-in for supper. While there I listened to Cardinal broadcast. After I finished supper I drove around town for another 45 minutes listening to the broadcast. I know that I could have gone home and turned on the radio. However, there is nothing like being on the road in your car or truck listening to Cardinal baseball. I agree with the other poster (and I have said it before) Chip and Sweeny are ok together, but there is something about Thompson's flippant delivery which bothers me. I view Thompson as just some sort of Cardinal fanboy. And I will concede that many Cardinal fans want that kind of announcer. At least it’s tv! Remember listening to radio games with Shannon. He's also batting over .300, which in modern baseball is extremely rare. Got 47 rbi too. Clearly he's getting it figured out now; what a future for this guy!Walker hits # 16 smashed tater making it 5-4 Reds going to top 6th......he ties his career season high in HR's......so glad to see him finally unlocking his immense potential.............it really really is............
