Can we get an update about the band area next time you go Ilphotog?

Nothing changed for this season, focus is on getting the overall job done. As with anything, if somethings ends up not working, changes could be made in the future.

I think that's what bugs me the most of the minor suggestions on here. There is no way everyone will be pleased with every update. Hell, the fanbase was somewhat divided when it was decided to renovate instead of construct a new arena. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that future minor changes will be made based on post construction feedback. With us getting regular updates, it makes it even easier to be hypercritical.

A message board, hypercritical? No way! :)

That's the area I call the "commons area" in between the two locker rooms. No one has said what its supposed to be called.:noidea:

It looks like it will be a meeting or film room for pre and post game etc...

With the risers on the floor like that just add chairs and the TV and white boards to the wall.

We may want to raise the scoreboard a little bit... I could see it getting in Malcolm's way when he is pulling from Steph Curry range ;)

Looks so big that close to the floor. Hope it doesn't look too small once it is raised up in the expanse of the SFC.

It's going to make it tough to do the opening tip off, too.

I don't think you'll have to worry about that. I think it could orbit around the Earth as a second moon and be noticeable.

I understand this mentality. I hoped that someone in DIA or the band would have made it a pet project to help the appearance of the lower bowl this offseason. Hopefully, they will someday.

The entrance to the Hall of Fame looks like an afterthought and really crappy. Hopefully it is not done yet and they add some sort of marquis or signs above it. The entrance really needs more glass on both sides of the door.
edit: after a second glance maybe it is acceptable. I am just not blown away by it.

Marquee de Sade would be an excellent choice.

Vandy and Tennessee are scoring at record pace. Also I hope the scoreboard goes higher than 165 for the home team.

For those who read this board via Tapatalk you might find this ad placement in this thread humorous.

Today's visit - Nothing major, the biggest difference is a lot of the construction items have been cleaned up, there would be pallets lying around with tools and parts on them, as they worked in certain area's. I would guess that 60-70% of those are gone and cleaned up. Mainly cosmetic items remain.
The Hall of Fame room is done and looks great. All of the main concession stands are set up with equipment and are ready to go.
In the Legacy and Krush clubs, they are almost done, TV's were installed, tables and chairs are in.
The locker rooms are also almost done, just some cosmetic work remains. The "commons area" between the two locker rooms is also almost done. All the seats are in, a huge projection screen is in the middle, and two 80" TV's are on each side. This is a place to watch the Super Bowl.
One change I did notice today, the old scoreboards located up high on the East and West sides have been removed, the new ones will be here soon. All the info that used to be on them, will now be on the new scoreboard.
Outside things are mostly done, finishing up some landscape work. The SE parting lot has been repaved and lines painted for the parking spaces.
Everything appears to be on schedule and will be complete by the 26th of this month.
