That was so clutch during March Madness, but I think fubo has it now, too. I saw an ad for them featuring it during the game
They do, but for now, it is only available on Apple TV devices. That device will set you back at least $120.

At this point, I am content just streaming on multiple tv's, platforms, etc. Not worth changing my Roku tvs or fire sticks.

I just went with the old school “have four actual screens going” method. 🤣

Bump.
I am getting jacked around by DTV and want to dump them.
What are the best internet tv options at this time?
Seems like YTTV looks pretty good, but can anyone give me what to look out for?
I need ESPN for Formula 1, BTN for Illini games, etc.
3 TV's, DVR service with plenty of storage.
Thanks

We have YouTube TV. We have one of the more basic packages but get some ESPN networks, BTN, FS1, FS2, CBS Sports, ...

I do not know about DVR service, I am sure that something is available, but one interesting feature is that the system can split your screen. It was great being able to watch 4x NCAA Tournament games at once and then switch audio during commercials.

If you care at all about regional sports networks, then YTTV may not be the best. I switched from YTTV to Fubo because Fubo includes Marquee for Cubs games and Chicago Sports Net for the Blackhawks (also Bulls and White Sox). Neither of those channels are available on YYTV.

Fubo also offers multiview (2, 3 or 4) and you can pick whichever channels you want. YYTV makes you choose from a set of channel they have selected for you.

Hulu Live TV works for us. You don’t get Cubs, Bulls, Sox or Blackhawks but you get plenty of sports.

Marquee has a direct streaming app you can get for $20/mo. We love YTTV and just add Marquee from April to Sept. Have had YTTV since 2018. I am a happy ex-Comcast customer after going to an ATT 5G modem instead of cable internet. Retired so don't need to overpay for "reliability"

I have DirectTV, and I am certainly over paying, but my biggest issue with the the streamers is my LG TV "magic" remote is terrible for pausing, rewinding, etc. I am probably failing to work it properly.

My thanks to all of you. I will have a bit of homework, but now know what to look for.

Anyone using (or looked into) MyFree DirecTV ?
Seems like you have to add several Genre Packs to get what's already in YTTV and others, and then you're way above the others' price points.
Is that a fair assessment?
I am surprised my DTV retention guy didn't offer that, if it was a better price than my satellite service.

YouTube tv is so great! The unlimited cloud DVR couldn’t be more convenient. I’ve had it for two years, not a single problem. As long as your internet connection is fast, no buffering, ever. You can watch it anywhere there’s an internet connection, on a phone tablet, laptop, etc. And, it’s $100 less than the comparable Direct tv. What’s not to like?

I want Fubo to stop being babies and let Venu TV become a reality. Or actually better, just channel providers stop forcing services to buy all your channels.

ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros paired up to offer a sports only service. So you'd get all the ESPN channels, all the college conference networks, the Fox Sports channels, the channels that play the tourney, and ABC and Fox.

In terms of sports, that gets you pretty much everything. Would love for them to get CBS involved and then you really get almost everything, but you can always get a digital antenna to get CBS and NBC.

I just get tired of paying for a crapton of channels I have 0 interest in. The new shows they're making are terrible, and you can get so much great old movies and TV for free, it's just the sports forcing us to have cable.

All this talk about streaming services makes my head swim. IMO. there's a huge need for an in home consulting services company that will come to your home, assess your viewing needs and execute a set up and provide training of the best streaming system for you. I'd be willing to pay a fair price knowing that the quality of my viewing experience and the lower ongoing cost would justify the upfront expense of such a service.

I’ve loved YouTube TV, but the price increases year over year have been outrageous. It’s almost getting to the point where I think I could save by bundling internet and tv with cable or DirectTV.

Venu isn’t happening. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/02/27/venu-fox-disney-wbd-sports-streaming-strategies.html

Agreed. It was $39.99 when I first subscribed, $82.99 now. I used to be able to mitigate that by adding friends to my Google "family" and splitting the cost, but I no longer live in the same area and eventually they were all locked out of accessing the app from their location.

Just going to say that last year I did SlingTV. They had a special for the entire season for $200. It was great for any game on a traditional cable, had to jump out of the app for network stations.

Saving the $$$ was nice. Product reminded me of streaming in 2018. Next fall, I am going with YouTube TV. Think I saw a discount if you bundle it with Verizon.

I have Hulu+Live, and really like it. I bumped up to the sports package, and I can watch pretty much every game going on the planet at any given time. I get BTN, FS 1&2, CSN, ESPN, ESPN+, and many more. Hulu streaming is just OK for movies and TV, but I also subscribe to the usual suspects for that. Oh, I also get all local TV stations, as well. It's north of $80/ mo, but worth it for me.
