Agreed.... It was not the best content. To say the least. Hey Goodman what do you think...I don't know man. That's basically all of what happenedSorry, I tried watching. I couldn't make it past half way, when I was thirsting for new info.
I'm just suggesting it's a decent take from a national media source. I expect a largely negative take, therefore I kind of liked their take being:Agreed.... It was not the best content. To say the least. Hey Goodman what do you think...I don't know man. That's basically all of what happened
Liking Goodman less and less.Agreed.... It was not the best content. To say the least. Hey Goodman what do you think...I don't know man. That's basically all of what happened
I give you ... the Extremely Lucky Timeline that Illini fans have gone through decades of torment to realize in 2024:
1. TSJ's request for the suspension to be overturned is granted on Friday 1/19/2024.
2. The Illini get on another hot streak, starting with RU at home and a win at NU in front of a majority Illini crowd.
3. The Illini sit atop the Big Ten and in the top 5 of the AP poll the day of Shannon's preliminary hearing (Friday 2/23). No new evidence to move the needle is presented by the DA, and the judge (perhaps considering the DA's very sketchy past) rules that there should have not been probably cause to even charge TSJ in the first place. The charges are dropped, and Shannon is free to live his life as a 110% innocent man!
4. The next day, Illinois absolutely demolishes Iowa by 30+ in the House of 'Paign.
5. On Tuesday 3/5, the Illini get revenge on Purdue at home and clinch what should be our third Big Ten championship in four years.
6. We finish the season by sweeping rival Iowa in Iowa City ... I'll be there.
7. Honestly don't care about the BTT, but I guess we can win it if it doesn't tire us out too much?
8. Playing like no team has played since our 2005 squad, this team is together, hungry and playing with a chip on their shoulder. They simply are not going to be stopped.
9. On Monday 4/8/2024, for the first time in its storied history, the Illinois Fighting Illini are crowned National Champions.
This must be the Boom GIF I foresaw on WednesdayI know I’m late … But still …
We all may be familiar with the details here, but these are national guys. Them having such a balanced take will encourage other talking heads to do the same and hopefully will keep any vitriol to a minimum.Sorry, I tried watching. I couldn't make it past half way, when I was thirsting for new info.
I guess is that it took them 21 minutes to say, "we shouldn't be talking about this". I guess I don't have a lot of patience. It gets me in trouble at home too.I'm just suggesting it's a decent take from a national media source. I expect a largely negative take, therefore I kind of liked their take being:
"It's a tough, nuanced situation and we probably shouldn't say much about it right now."
I'd say that's reputable in today's media landscape.
I mean the press release essentially says they are going to comply with the order which they need to do or else be violating a court order. They have to reinstate him or face contempt. But they also state they are reviewing the courts decision and monitoring the situation. Seems pretty ambiguous to me.If you look at the school's press release....I think it's game on for TJ. School doesn't look to be contesting it?

Don't try it in Lawrence, Kansas.I want to hug TSJ. If he would let me.
In the first half.TJ comes out and goes for 20.
Maybe you could remind them that they had the biggest point shaving scandal in the history of collegiate sports in the mid-90s (football AND basketball), or maybe remind them that Fitzie and HC Randy Walker were responsible for the death of one of their African-American players, Rashidi Wheeler (Cats wrote his Mom a $16 million check for that one). Maybe you can ask them when they are going to take the Randy Walker statue down, or when they will change the name of the street Dyche Stadium resides on - Randy Walker Way. I betcha the students are totally clueless as to their filthy past. https://apps.northbynorthwestern.com/magazine/2016/spring/features/fallen-forgotten/I'm going to the Northwestern game on Wednesday. That game just got even more intriguing. It will be really interesting to see how the students at NW treat him considering NW is dealing with the fallout from their football hazing scandal
I'm with you.. What they said was fine... It just was surrounded by terribly constructed discussion to get to the core issue that this is complicated... We know. Goodman was very complimentary of Shannon and didn't hide it. I'll give him a pass as you can see he didn't want to say too much because he likes Terrance.I guess is that it took them 21 minutes to say, "we shouldn't be talking about this". I guess I don't have a lot of patience. It gets me in trouble at home too.
