Will TJ be able to travel to the road games due to the bond he posted in Kansas? Don't want to be a downer, but is that still an issue for him to leave CU or the state of Illinois?

Looking forward to Sunday's game. I watched the Missouri game a few times since all this happened to see him in action...

I don't know. That seems like a bit of a reach. Is it really the suspension that caused his stock to drop or was it the charges itself? Correlation, not causation.

Insiders - are the university/board of trustees upset? Are they looking to point fingers at someone for the is? Or do they understand in the era of NIL this is going to happen?

I'm going to the Northwestern game on Wednesday. That game just got even more intriguing. It will be really interesting to see how the students at NW treat him considering NW is dealing with the fallout from their football hazing scandal

@Fighter of the Nightman nice work over on TKR. Rutgers fans losing it over this news. Pretty clear from reading other forums that this will be viewed by the unenlightened as "Criminal allowed to continue playing.." etc. Hope coach U really hammers home that the team needs to keep their composure in the face of abusive fans in the coming months. This will truly be a test of this team's maturity. If we keep our cool, this is gonna be a fun ride into March/April!

If they simply allowed TSJ to have representation and plead his case to the committee would that have satisfied his due process requirement? I’m interested how much of an overhaul it would take for future cases.

I have not been on the internet today…just using our snow day in Maryland to get stuff done. Then, brother altgeld88 texts me the news…I am gobsmacked. What a rollercoaster for us fans…cannot…simply cannot…imagine what this has been like for the team and TSJ…despite the MD snafu, I think our staff and our team should be very proud of how they navigated this mess…I will remember this team fondly forever, regardless of what comes next…now, go demolish some folks!

The University does not have a singular mindset or opinion. Many different entities and people.

First, the entire University and all universities are about CYA. The first goal is no harm to the U of I and for the people involved no harm to themselves. (i.e. Josh or nobody else wants to make a mistake and lose their job.

Second, the DIA is ecstatic. Nobody in the DIA thinks TSJ is guilty or deserves punishment.

Third, once you get removed further from DIA the opinions are more varied regarding the risk of playing TSJ vs the upside that one might view as less important.

In general, FAR more people are ecstatic.

Whitman is a great AD and we are lucky to have him. Just a good chance to amend something that maybe he hadn't thought about through this lens before
Agreed in full. Okay great. So long as people aren’t looking for a finger to point
