Glad to have TSJ back. Hopefully in the end of this mess he will be exonerated. For those expecting TSJ to go off against Rutgers, I’m not for sure he even plays. He hasn’t practiced with the team for 3 weeks. Does he have to go through conditioning and a few practices before you even play him? When he does play I believe you work him into the lineup.
I'm sure he wasn't sitting around eating fast food and playing video games the last two weeks. Shouldn't be an issue.

He wasn't suspended simply because someone accused him of something. He was suspended because he was charged and arrested and because of an ongoing criminal investigation.
Agreed. This isn't an accusation on Twitter. This was a formal charge. And those Charges haven't been dropped. When they do... Which I hope they do... That's when we really should be celebrating the most. TJ is still living this nightmare. He just gets to play basketball.

i take this as a good step, that I never thought would happen, but there is still more ahead in the real world. I'm happy but cautious and still don't know how to feel fully.

Confident/improved/experienced Coleman, Marcus, Q, Justin, Ty & Luke supporting TJ is going to be a PROBLEM.

This group has serious potential to win a national title.
You know TSJ is going to have a raging fire inside him. That will 100% spread to his teammates. I wouldn't be surprised if he finished the season around 25PPG and still gets his AA status, along with B1G First Team. Edey has B1G POTY and Naismith locked up again. Thank goodness a sasquatch like that only comes around once a decade or so :ROFLMAO:

Do you honestly think that he wasn't staying in tip-top shape? He wouldn't have an insanely early start in the gym everyday, just to stop when this BS happens. Just because he couldn't practice with the team doesn't mean he didn't play with them outside of team activities. I have a strong feeling that he comes in hotter than when he left (y)

Same thing. He was charged and arrested because someone said he did something. What's the difference?

I could tell a restaurant manager that a waiter told me to kiss his behind, should he be fired? Stupid.
Like it or not, plenty of cases are tried and won based on the testimony of the accuser (if the DA and ultimately the jury find the accuser credible). It helps if there's some circumstantial evidence that supports parts of the accuser's story and doesn't contradict any of it. That's the situation here based on what's public.

The judge's ruling (for now) essentially kicks things back to UIUC's typical OSCR disciplinary procedures, which would grant TSJ some due process, and would allow UIUC to take action based on a preponderance of evidence. It would not shock me if the panel were to rule that the evidence meets that threshold in this case, but who knows. And I have no idea if UIUC will pursue that process.

Innocent until proven guilty
Since you said this in response to someone cautioning against prematurely crowning him a returning hero, I think what you mean by this is "I haven't seen enough evidence to convince me." Because if there was video of a Michigan player clearly raping a woman, but he was allowed to play and was treated like a hero by UM fans because he hadn't yet been found guilty in court and/or hadn't yet been before the school conduct panel, we would feel very differently.

Don’t forget we still have the subpoenaed laboratory reports that will come in the coming weeks. TJ’s legal team is going to put this DA and case into another dimension.

Can you explain what the difference is? I'm curious.
