The B$G Big Show that came on after the twerps game commented on the allegations and showed JW's response to this situation......It gave me such a sinking feeling in the bottom of my stomach and an aching in my O & B bones........I hate with all my heart to see my beloved portrayed in any negative light...........There was no opinion on the show given , just what JW's response was..........

there will be fans from other schools in the B$G that are already preparing vicious insults to be hurled at the Illini in the games coming up.....You can bet your arse on that...........I'm sure BU and staff are preparing the team for that situation and how to proceed with the rest of the season.......i just don't see how TSJ ever suit's up again for the beloved.............

if he is proven innocent then that is the moral injustice of the accusation being levied against him and his loss of an All American performance this season....if he is proven guilty then he will suffer for this situation for the rest of his life..........I still am in a state of confusion regarding this matter as everything I have seen or read about TSJ showed nothing in his demeanor that this activity would be possible........

I know no one really knows what lurks in someone else's mind , but it seems to me that TSJ is mature enough to see the end result of this alleged action and he would not risk anything of this level of criminal activity to jeopardize his future......

As is always true with my posts , this is Just My Humble Opinion and I try to think out my posts before I post them here....

I am sad right now............Sad for TSJ............Sad for the Illini program and University......Sad for all my friends here who are as rabid a fan as I am........And sad for the victim if the allegations are true.......

Sad , sad , sad situation for all parties involved or affected......it really really is.................

Not going to speculate much until more comes out. But I do sense there is a feeling of bewilderment and shock from BU and Whitman on this-they think Terrence is innocent.

I have heard a couple of different things, will share in a few days when things clear up.

Again, I have ZERO idea of what is true yet or if he puts on an Illini jersey again

Josh is the dryest most straight forward person I've met. Doesn't drink, awkward, I'd expect nothing less than the most air tight, professional, legal response you can get.
I was walking the concourse before Braggin Rights and saw JW about to pass by. Already feeling pretty good from pregame buckets of Anheuser-Busch products, I yelled, "Josh! Josh!"

He veered off his path to come toward me and when he got close enough, I held out my fist and said, "You da man!"

He returned my fist bump with surprisingly beefy knuckles, looked at me as straight and dry as a Nevada fence post and said, "Thank you."

In hindsight I found the juxtaposition kind of hilarious. Josh, large and reserved in a suit that fit him well. Me, 150 pounds and three sheets to the wind wearing an orange and blue Chief Santa hat.

Anyway, in my only real interaction with him he was exactly as you described and exactly the person I'd want leading us through this right now.

I just watched a clip on WCIA. Alleged incident Sept 9th, complaint wasn't filed until Dec 5th and warrant yesterday. So were the cops even called Sept 9th? I curious about what information is coming to warrant an arrest?
If they have evidence, the police were called. They police gather evidence that the DA uses to decide if they can bring a case.

I'm guessing the evidence was gathered early on given his lawyer saying that he's been cooperating, but the DA didn't decide to file charges until recently.

Edit: it'll be up to the DA to bring criminal charges. The accuser can only bring a civil suit after the results of the criminal trial. The timing of this doesn't have to do with her.

Illinois sports programs have a history going back to the 1960s of paying maximum penalty for minimum crime. This was true during the Pete Eliot slush fund scandal, during all Mike White’s “lack of institutional control,” during the BS cooked up by Bruce Pearl to hang on Jimmy Collins and Lou Henson.

Every time Illinois gets going good, there is some random over-prosecuted junk that appears, that would be handled or dealt with at a winning program, yet which becomes a reason for major damage at ours.

I’ve watched the University of Washington survive multiple scandals over the past 30 years yet emerge unscathed and still competitive.

Illinois though? Any time anything happens we get the full weight of judgment no matter how actually guilty we are.

IDK guys. You’re awfully quick to cave on this player. And this situation. Let’s let JW speak first and then see what’s next. The way this thing came out makes me think its a lot more likely an opportunistic prosecutor than an actual incident.

Would be nice if y’all didn’t all just fold like cheap card tables the minute some random accusation comes out.

If cops were called regarding rape then if there was probable cause why wasn't he arrested? I have my doubts they were called unless it was after he left.
I've been at parties when a couple gets into conflicts and if a cop is called they separate the couple nearly always hauling the guy off. I am going to call it a night it is just hard for me to believe TSJ works so hard to be guilty of doing something so awful and stupid. The information that is to come will be interesting and hopefully these accusations are false.

I'm just telling you what I remember from my one semester of criminal law.

To start an investigation the police had to be called to gather evidence. They hand it over to the DA's office. The DA's office reviews the evidence and decides if they have a strong enough case to bring forth.

I'm not sure about the rules on how timely they have to be about bringing charges, but the statement made by TSJ's lawyer makes it clear that he's been cooperating since he was informed he'd been named in the incident. This wasn't just recently brought to the cops

Not unusual when sexual assault is at issue. People sit on all sorts of trauma, sometimes for decades, before even acknowledging it happened.

No one has any idea in this case, so no point in speculating IMO.
I agree with your comment, however, the opposite is often true also. Practically 90 days to file a rape complaint is suspect to me on it's face. JMHO.
