It's funny to me that our 2013 uniforms now look dated. Is it just me or are/were they dated?

They were bad. Cool in 2006, maybe until 2009 or so. But they were really bad in my opinion.

The white piping on our old jerseys was absolutely aggravating at times. It made zero sense to me.

With no blue jersey available (lame) I assume they'll go with an orange/orange/white combo (helmet/jersey/pants) and an orange/orange/orange one too. But what I'd love to see is the white helmet with the orange jerseys and white pants. That would look nice, even though the Miami Hurricanes sport this look often.

No blue next year

Can someone explain to me why it's so difficult to manufacture three sets of football jerseys? Seriously

What would be really lame is if they don't get the blues, but do get some goofy grey alternate.

Without the blues, I would like to see us keep the orange helmet as primary, so orange/white/white on the road, orange/orange/white at home.

I guess we could play the all-white as something special, but it looks weird for us because white has has never been a dominant color like schools that have a two-color scheme with white as the second color (e.g. UW with red and white, PSU with blue and white).

I will remain absolutely convinced this "no blues" thing is hogwash until I hear official confirmation.

ya blue has always been our primary football jersey color. I don't know how they could not have one. that would be terrible

I am at work right now so I can't like facebook posts (facebook is blocked here), but the White Sox posted something about Illini night on 7/18. Included in the post was a picture of the hat they will be giving out. First off, the hat looks awesome. But there is a block I on the back and on my phone it appears to be the old block I.

Considering the hat will be released 3 months after the rebrand, it seems pretty sloppy to put an old block I on the hat. There have seemed to be a lot of elements that have been sloppily handled during the transition to the new brand, but I'm sure that's true of most schools.

I'm sure those hats had to be designed and ordered months ago and I doubt the U of I let the White Sox get a sneak peak of the rebrand, so I don't know what you think the White Sox could've done differently.

It's only a computer rendering, so maybe it will actually correct.

It doesn't take 8 months to produce 1,500 hats. HSV may very well be correct, and I hope he is.

Most promotions done by pro teams are scheduled months ahead of time. A lot of times the promotions schedule is released before the season even starts.

Yep I've seen those hats online for awhile. Not sure about the exact date, but I'm thinking it was about a month before the rebrand

I am pretty sure that Nike is paying us and our Coach to wear their uniforms. A pretty hefty amount. :)
