I’m going to start a petition to cancel the Final 4 this year. Will have to try to sell it by suggesting it will ensure K goes out a winner.

More importantly should help less pipes get clogged with 🤮

Here is how this will go down!

Duke - UNC ="The Academia Game." UNC had lead late, Duke pulls this one out at the "charity stripe."

KU - Nova = " The Other Game." Nova struggles to find consistency minus key player injured in regional final. Kansas pulls this one out in OT.

PUKE - KU - NCAA could not be more excited and the commentators are tripping over each other's tongues, which have fallen out of their mouths, as they drool over these two storied programs.

Back and forth Game, most people fall asleep before this snoozefest is over with as KU cuts down the nets.
Grayson Allen comes out of nowhere to hip check the ladder as Self makes the last cut of the net. Mike sheepishly grins and says that someone tripped him, he was just coming to celebrate a runner-up and the career of Coach K.

Self is badly injured, spends months in hospital and rehab, announces his retirement in June of 2023.

NCAA announces sanction in July of 2023 against KU after Self steps down.

NCAA awards the 2022 title to Duke from those sanctions, but allows Kansas to claim title ownership and leave banners.

Coach K comes back to accept the title and tells the crowd he misses it and that he has replaced Jon Scheyer as head coach for eternity.

The rest of the world bemoans the stupidity that has become the NCAA.

I don't recall which game it was but when one of the announcers actually referred to the team (UNC, I think) as a "storied program" I just about lost it...

Will be rooting for KU. They are the only chance of defeating Duke, now that Justin Moore is injured for Villanova.
I am with you. With the injury, I think Villanova would be a non-factor in the championship game. Kansas, if they are on their A game, has enough pizzazz in their game to beat Duke in my opinion.

Boring. We need more equity in college basketball. Maybe a salary cap and free agency, oh wait we just did one of those.

There’s only one way to fix this.

Get a great big fish bowl. A really big one.

All of the major D-1 college programs have their school’s name on a folded-up piece of paper inside the bowl. The Recruits get to try the bowl in order of their star ranking going down from #1.

Each Recruit digs down into the bowl and selects which college they will be attending for their first year of Higher Education. No re-dos. And if They don't happen to like where they're headed... it's their own fault.

Keep doing this until all the college ball players have a place to go.

Everybody gets a chance at 5-Star talent and the playing field (the Court) gets leveled instead of always being tilted toward the Blue Bloods.

Transfer Portal rules stay as they are now. But... what that means is that your name just goes back into the Big Fishbowl for the next season.

Let’s see Duke and Kansas and Kentucky and Gonzaga and Baylor and Carolina try to keep running that table after THAT...

And then MAYBE we'll get a Final Four that isn't just Alabama vs. Clemson again... or is that one from that other shaped ball?

Unpopular opinion, but I'm rooting for Duke. People say this final four is "boring" but this final four matchup is arguably the biggest game in Duke basketball history.
You had me for a minute, but thankfully sarcasm applies even if it is distasteful. If it's not sarcasm, you should be banned permanently. Why would we want anything other than a loss for the "Biggest game in Duke basketball history"? Nothing personal $%!#$^*

I have mixed feelings about the game, but I'll bite:

#1, I don't want to see Hubert Davis take off at UNC. I know he just got them to the Final Four but their fans were calling for his head earlier this year, and the jury is still out on him as a coach. He's not going to have Brady Manek to bail him out next year like he has throughout the tournament... I would like to see them go through another Matt Doherty phase.

#2, Coach K is undeniably a great coach, even if he does it with a boatload of five-stars. If he wins this year, it'll be all about him, and it won't necessarily foreclose the possibility that Duke will begin a slow decline under Jon Scheyer despite his first recruiting class.

You forgot the part where KU poaches Underwood to take over as head coach

Don't understand the hate. I don't like Kansas, Duke or North Carolina but if you asked me if I would rather watch St. Peters or North Carolina play Duke, that is easy. Give me the best teams with most talent all day long if I am watching the game. And Villanova is just plain good and not hard to root for. Grown men who play the game. They have pretty awesome since 2016.
So you're saying St. Peters beats Kentucky, Murray State, Purdue and North Carolina, you would still rather see Duke play North Carolina a third time because of better talent? Ya know there's a whole league called the NBA if you're looking for matchups with better talent? I think for most people, the charm of the NCAA tournament is that a better coached team can sometimes outplay better talent.

I like Duke over UNC and Villanova over Kansas. Jay Wright will come up with something to own Self like he usually does.

#44
Kansas will win against Villanova. And DUKE will DUNK N.Carolina. If I am Duke, I would pressure their guards in the second half to the end of the game. And get (AJ the ball off of cutting off behind Williams screens. The guards for North Carolina, cannot shoot the 3. relatively well - So North Carolina needs to create opportunities for their front court players by rebounding the ball and keep (Williams) to the right side of the lane and he will struggle. krynshewski sometimes has his team freeze up by looking nervously anxious and his coaching becomes easily dissected by other coaches knowing what's Duke weaknesses.

Awesome imagination! The Grayson Allen hip check on Self on ladder is LOL to read.
Can we include a arrest/locked up Grayson Allen also?

Can we add something for Grayson....gets locked up and jailed maybe.

Thanks for this insight.

Picks adjusted; Give me UNC-NOVA 😉

Honest question....what in the world would TBS's Final Four show been like if Duke and coach K had not made the final four????? I've watched for over an hour and it's been at least 75% Duke oriented....barely mentioning the game to be played before NC and Duke...

UNC beat Duke at Kameron end of season. I think it will be a tight game. Kansas I think is coming in stronger than Nova, although would prefer Nova
The more i look at nova, the more i like them to cover tnt. Its a 5 v. 5 game this time of year and even though nova lost Moore, they slide in a veteran who averages double figures in Daniels.... And of course their bread and butter is their defense. If Gillespie can lock Remy and make him guard on defense as well, that completely changes the tournament dynamic of the Jayhawks and could make this a toss up.
