I haven't seen Chris Holtmann on any lists. He's done well at Butler in the past 3 years - winning record in the Big East and 3 trips to the tourney. Butler swept Villanova this year. He's in the discussion for Indiana, should an opening arise. Why not Illinois?

Groce and him are buddies. Played and coached together. Many think he wont take the job because of that. My opinoin is Groce wouldn't care either way and if we offer enough I dont see his friendship getting in the way of him coming here.

Plus he can bring Groce back as lead recruiter ;)

He's Groce's friend.

Nice guy but unlikely that he will recruit in the gray areas. He's too soft to win in the cut-throat world of Big Ten college hoops. Fans will crucify him.

Too soon ?? NEVER !! POTD !!

Nothing would surprise me, but just because Tilmon made comments to the effect of, "I wouldn't be here if not for Coach Walker", that doesn't mean that now that he IS here, and is committed, that'd he definitely request a release if Coach Walker is let go.

I think he has other motivations to stay.

I don't. I THINK no Walker = No Tilmon.

Bennett, Miller, Marshall, Keatts in that order. I really want Bennett or Miller.
I do not want Cuonzo, or Crean (Who I doubt is a candidate). We should find out if Crean gets fired in the next couple days. Did anyone notice that, Indiana played away from home in the NIT. Fact is, they could have played at home but thought attendance &/or lack of support for Crean could be embarrassing. Their women's team is going to play at home, in the women's NIT. LOL.

Win at Illinois and we will think the guy can walk on water.

How likely is Bryce Drew to leave Vandy after a year? Supposedly, he has been interested in the Illinois job for awhile. I'm a fan of the guy

I thought i heard they played on the road due to renovations to the stadium, but i looked on their website and it says they opted to play on the road due to "Spring Break". Quite odd.

I need to wash up after going to that website. Ick.

Maybe. But he is a fantastic motivator. His recruits are highly committed to the program, and they will follow him to the ends of the earth and back. Big on development too.

You covered it. Also appreciate the newest, best spelling of Cuonzo I've seen

Any leaks from NC State or the other open jobs? Maybe all the job movements will wait for the Final 4 weekend?

Groce was hired on Mar 29th between the E8 and F4. Idk if I can wait that long.

On a related note, I learned last night through the radio that Simeon (the school) is "simi-ON" and not "SIMI-in." Barnhart felt bad for mispronouncing it all these years.

NC State wants Archie and Keatts, Mizzou wants Cuonzo, LSU wants Musselman and Prohm, Indiana may or may not want Marshall and Illinois wants everybody.

It's in a weird spot at the moment. The whole things freezes to a halt tomorrow morning though, for two days at least.
