Yeah it's a weird spot. I'd prefer him to not be the next coach of Illinois, and I'd also prefer him to not be the next coach of mizzou, for the reason you mentioned. Can't have our cake and eat it too tho.

If Mizzou offered Cuonzo the job officially we'll know soon if he wants to wait on us I would think.
He wants Illinois bad, which is going to make the Braggin' Rights game so interesting over the next several years when he's at Mizzou and pissed at us
He's going to clean up in St Louis, but he's got some work to do to make up for a recruiting misstep in Chicago. If the new UI coach gets in with the right people in Chicago right off the bat, we'll lose St Louis talent to Mizzou but replace it with Chicago talent.
Braggin' Rights game is going to get real good.

I hope that's right, but I'm concerned. We haven't done well in Chicago with the last several coaches we've had and we have done pretty well in St. Louis area as of late. If we start losing out in St. Louis, I hope we finally start getting some consistency in Chicago...we'll see.
I hope he takes the Mizzou job just so I won't have to worry about how to pronounce Cuonzo.

I thought Hoiberg didn't like to recruit.
I've gone from there to worried that we would take him over better guys because he is "established" and a "name".
I wouldn't mind Proehm to Illinois he is a good coach. Why stay in that conference where Kansas wins every year as long as Self is there.
