I'd be pumped to get any of them, but if we end up with Marshall he'd sure as heck better have some ace recruiters on his staff. He's not going to connect well with the high school/AAU communities in Chicago, St Louis, Indy, and Peoria. I can't reasonably put Keatts above Marshall given their respective track records, but my gut says Marshall would be an awkward fit here.

I like the first 4 for sure not sold on Buzz at all I'd rather have Keatts.

I don't know why I'm letting myself get so bothered by this board doing what they always do and treating not one but SEVERAL laughable pipe dreams as guarantees that we must merely choose between, but after the MT "embarrassing search" nonsense, how else am I supposed to react?

Trust me, we don't know either. Lots of Keatts fans on this board, you're just the only one who freaks out if anyone with a remotely bigger name is mentioned.

Will you buy in if Keatts beats Virginia? I just think there is so much upside with him it might take longer but he would be great at Illinois and build a great program over time.

I don't know Finebaum from Adam, but Woj is pretty much unassailable. We may not have offered Monty, but I believe him that there was interest.

I think Finebaum has a good source. It's Cuonzo Martin himself. It would look good on Missouri if he says he turned down a hefty offer from Illinois to coach Missouri. He's lying.

So if UNCW beats Virginia then it could be Bennett by early next week or Keatts or Marshall if Wichita loses early? I think Archie is going either to Indiana or NC State if Crean gets fired.

Neither our AD or the preferred candidate is going to make a decision based on the outcome of a single game. Or a string of games.
