What if I told you, we can't announce the DC hire ...

because the DC hire is still coaching?
I would say - that could be exciting if it's from the Alabama or Ohio State staff
Like if he threw a bunch of money at Charles Kelly to be DC here, count me in

I think my favorite part of all the official press releases is the photoshopped clothing on the new hires.
I was thinking the same thing!

"Alright, find a picture of him in a white shirt and photoshop an I on it."
"What? No white shirt pictures? Anything Blue? No? Orange? No?"
"Oh you found one in red? Great, lets see if we can make that look orange."

Curious, what does chief of staff do? He's been with BB the whole time, just wondering.
In the event it's the final game of the season and we get into a bottom of the 9th situation on the road at Michigan --- where it's a tied game, one out, runners at 2nd and 3rd, first base open, and two right-handed sluggers coming to bat, with nothing but lefties in the bullpen, I think Coach Taurisani is the guy we turn to when BB can't figure it out on his own.

Taurisani Bio:
"A native of Utica, New York, Taurisani graduated from State University of New York at Fredonia in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a minor in sports and exercise, earning first-team all-conference honors as
captain of the baseball team."

One interesting point is he's worked with Bielema all 12 years he's been a HC.

Side note --- I saw we'll be retaining Tim Knox. In what capacity? Will they both be Assistant AD's? Curious how their responsibilities will differ
Per football scoop, "Tim Knox is expected to be retained as DFO."

We should have had an Illinois Loyalty competition (or "pool,") ten days ago, with each of us trying to guess all of Bret's new Assistant Coaches. Has anyone yet gotten all 4 correctly?

Can someone explain the difference between the Director of Football Operations and the Football Chief of Staff?

One directs the operations. The other is the chief of all the staff. What's so hard to understand?

Edit: assuming everyone realizes my response was a joke. The titles are just word salad at this point. It's really just expanding and shaping the overall football organization in the way BB wants it.
