While many liked the Bart Miller introductory press conference, I thought Ryan Walters was much more impressive! Really a fan of his maturity and communication skills, at just 34 years old. I realize Lovie is/was a defensive coach, but I just feel like our defense will improve five-fold over the next three years under BB and RW!! Can't wait to see things progress starting this spring.
When you live and die off of turnovers you can come up with some impressive wins, but mostly you die by it.

Pretty crazy that this hire started with Petersen. There’s obviously gotta be some mutual respect there. BB wants the right staff. I’m pretty excited about what he’s putting together.

This gives a decent explanation of what happened with our DC at Mizzou

Also, possible DC hires listed are an internal promotion with less experience (not DC before) and UAB DC. Curious to see if Drink can hire an experienced DC from P5

I think it's pretty clear that Bellamy is not at the top of BB's list for WR coach. If he was, I would have to imagine he'd be announced. I wouldn't put a ton of stock into his tweets. He's still an alum, and although his status is in limbo, he still hasn't officially been replaced yet. I wonder if it's similar to a non-committable offer, like if there's been talk from BB that he's still in the process of deciding, but Bellamy hasn't officially been ruled out yet.
It's not pretty clear.

I could come up with a half dozen scenarios that aren't yours.

We'll know soon enough.

I’m not saying he for sure won’t be on the staff, but if he was a priority, he’d have been announced. He’s a current/returning coach and former player here. Why keep him waiting if you really want him? He’s being treated as a fallback option.

As I said I could come up with a number of scenarios to explain it. It's far from clear and your idea could be true. But it's not the only way this may be playing out

"but if he was a priority, he’d have been announced" ... this does not compute, logically (he may have the biggest priority of all and given the job, but not yet announced for a variety of reasons -- as mentioned)

I loved this quote:

“We were mapping out some career paths and he was like, ‘You can join the military, go trade stocks in the stock market or coach football,’” Walters said. “I’m not great with numbers and I didn’t feel like going to war.” So Walters began putting some stock into coaching football.
