Provided none of the compliance/recruiting stink falls onto him, Tee Martin all day every day twice on Sunday. I also wouldn't mind Brian Niedermeyer.
Do anything to get Tee Martin on this staff. Give him the assistant head coach title and all the $$ we have left to offer coaches.

Was just going to say the same thing. Don't think Tee Martin will leave the SEC; he's a legend there for winning '98 national title and been a great recruiter since

Who does Tennessee hire next? Talk about a once proud program (anyone who remembers 100,000-plus at Neyland in the 90s with Peyton Manning and then some great teams for 5-6 years after Manning left) who has fallen on brutal times. In a way UT's football program reminds me of our basketball program. Which has had a further fall from the elite? To me it all comes down to the coaches you hire, and how to compete in the SEC in football or Big Ten in basketball you have to have one of the best coaches -- look no further than Derek Dooley and Jeremy Pruitt vs. hiring Bruce Weber and John Groce. You do that and there's going to be 4-5 rival programs who pass you up and won't look back

Wonder if they still have Schiano holding on line 2?

Wasn't Fulmer involved in submarining that hire?
I think so, and wasn't there some kind of protest from the students because of Schiano's connection to Penn State? You can't make that kind of stuff up, only in the nutty world of big-time college athletics.

It's crazy now that UT fires Pruitt for supposed recruiting violations (really because he doesn't win enough) and now they want to hire Hugh Freeze? The SEC is something else. And as far as Fulmer, he's very polizaring there as well, even with his national title.

He coached at USC for about 6 years prior to going to TN, so not so sure he wouldn’t leave SEC.

Sort of ironic that this mess takes Fulmer down as well. Will be interesting to see who has the stones to take that AD job now.

Niedermeyer is definitely involved in the NCAA infractions and could see him getting a show-clause from all of this.
