Remember when they sent Illinois out to San Diego as a 4 seed and their reward was facing Washington the 5 seed in 2006? They tend to do that at times to the 4 seeds

Virginia is hot garbage, I don't need them in my tournament.
Only team that doesn't deserve to be in this field is Virginia. I would've put in Indiana St to be honest. I feel like they played Michigan St really hard on the road in one of the few Quad 1 opportunities that they had. Virginia is very much a garbage team. Oklahoma/Virginia belong in the same category----in the dumpster. Indiana St got a raw deal. Otherwise, I think the only other gripe is how low these Mountain West schools were seeded and a couple of other seeding issues

TCU's guards are fantastic, which is Purdue's kryptonite.
Kentucky was ahead of us on the S curve. That's... something.
UConn got hosed imo. They potentially get a dangerous FAU team in the 2nd round with two guards that can off and a good 7 footer.
Then auburn is by far the best 4 imo and SDSU is a deep veteran team that went to final four last year and is always going to be tough.

Not that it will really matter in how the game ends up going, but Akron is geographically closer to Creighton for that first round game.

That definitely reads as a "conference tournaments don't mean all that much" seeding to me.
They penalized them for a weak non-conference schedule. That is fair to do. The seeding is based on your full body of work/entire resume from the entire season, not just the Big 12 season
