The team got what they deserved. Now they need to prove that they can bring back the team we saw in January. No need to look ahead, just win the first one against Fran and move on.

Illinois is fortunate to get a 3 seed. They are struggling coming into the tournament and have a losing record in their last 9 games. Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Purdue, UCLA, Ohio State, Minnesota, Washington, Rutgers, Northwestern, and Oregon all have the same or better records as Illinois over their last 9 games, let alone all the other teams in the other conferences. The illini deserve a 4 or 5 seed.
Dude, take your constant negativity somewhere else.

I'm honestly shocked Seth Davis didn't dump on us and pick us to be his team that gets upset, tbh...I was actually waiting for him to do that, like he does every year. 🤷

Someone sew Pearls ugly yap shut.

F him and Sampson.
Haha...still trying to make a case for his son's 16 loss team. What a clown. Miami earned their spot by going undefeated in the regular season. They will beat SMU in the play-in. They'll make for a more competitive 1st round game than Auburn ever would have

Generally okay with what we ended up with. Only things I’m mad about are getting UNC close to their home (UNC the team though we should beat) and also getting pulled with Houston.

Freakin Greenville with Houston as the 2. Not ideal. No excuse not make sweet 16.

Let’s see what happens

All things considered this is pretty good.

Enjoy the draw - let’s get to work. Only downside is Greenville is a total pain to travel to

Potentially playing UNC in South Carolina....pseudo road game. Getting St. Louis was critical.
I agree, but it’s less important for this squad than most, IMO. We blew two games at the UC in front of pro-Illini crowds, and you can make a very good argument that our performance averaged across 10 Big Ten road games was materially better than across our 10 Big Ten home games.

Let’s just bring a lot of fans anyway!

I’m in the minority, but I don’t hate it to get to the second weekend. Not sure it matters where we play. We win at Purdue and Nebraska and were unfazed at MSU. Of the 6 seeds, I’d probably rather play NC minus their best player as opposed to Louisville or Dybansta (there was no way we’d have been paired with Tenn in second round).
