Is beating UNC in Greenville to get to the S16 a successful season?

I hope Peral is never on this show again. This Auburn homerism is awful.

Committee also flat out said Miami OH in the bracket due to result metrics, and seeded based on predictive metrics. SMU was the last team in the field (if you took the average of all the result metrics, SMU was the last team in the field).

So if Purdue started on the 11 and moved up to 8 based on the tournament, Illinois had to have been better than 11 going into the BTT, right?

I don't have any issues with the job the committee did. Followed the curve I had pretty closely. Biggest surprise to me was Arizona over Michigan for the #2 overall seed. We now have a definitive answer that the conference championship matters.

That is correct. They were listed at #10 in the final bracket.

Which means, if Purdue loses today Illinois goes to St. Louis.

1) Easy, favorable draw for Illinois to get to S16.

2) Underwood is not a good enough coach to beat a coach like Sampson in March. Illinois gets to S16 and then gets beat by double digits to Sampson.

Maybe. But we don’t know how much the final today had to do with it. And other factors affect location.
