We have traditionally looked at Iowa State with sympathy. A downtrodden program with a fine tradition of hating the Hawkeyes. I think their hatred for all things Iowa still requires that we not hate them lest our hatred be interpreted as being sympathetic to the Hawkeyes. Somehow we have to blame the Hawkeyes in this case.

Some discussion of potential qb transfers at the osu and clemson post spring practice. Probably not attainable but I can dream.

One of our Big Ten West foes might be getting a new quarterback:

Expect Johnson, an Indiana native, to look at Purdue and Northwestern for his next stop, sources tell 247Sports. Due to NCAA transfer rules, Johnson will have to sit out next season and will be eligible starting in 2019. He'll have three years of eligibility remaining when he returns to the field that year.

I think the expected offense is better suited to a dual-threat type quarterback than a pro-style QB, no?

5-star Clemson QB Hunter Johnson is transferring. He is from Indiana. The article that I am posting says that he "is expected to look to the Big Ten for his transfer destination"

Will Lovie try to recruit him?

Purdue is a logical player here. And Northwestern. Penn State is also being discussed as a potential landing spot -- he could be sold on being Trace McSorley's replacement. A couple of other B1G schools have been mentioned.

Edit: Saw it was already discussed above.

Jeff George Jr to Michigan? per as friend of mine

sorry Dan, not recruiting, but transfers thread was bball related
Late Tuesday night George Jr. sent out a tweet that would lead to the assumption he will be wearing a Michigan uniform in 2018.

While this isn’t concrete, George Jr. doesn’t tweet often and he also posted the same exact picture with the same caption on Instagram, where friends of his congratulated him.

I don't get it if that's where he is transferring. Surely he won't be able to get playing time in Ann Arbor if he couldn't win the job here.

I was at the Big House when he started his first game there. I don't really get it from either side, but best of luck to him!
