Congrats to Trent and well deserved! When do they announce the FOY? I have to think he's got a great chance to win it.

They also just announced JJackson as FOY. No surprise there. Led the frosh in what, blocks?

Also voted Defensive POY. Jackson is a great one and done type player, and I may be bias, but I think Frazier got hosed for FOY.

Well deserved, really excited about Frazier's future and a potential sophomore leap. If he could get his FG% up to the 44-45% range, would be a huge boost.

Also, before people go off the deep end on Jackson winning FOY, please go look up the stats of both players and provide an objective reason for why Frazier should have won over Jackson (hint: it will be really really hard). It doesn't mean Frazier is not going to be a great player.

Great job, Trent, we're looking forward to 3 more years with you!

If Trent only incrementally improves and shows consistency, I'll be happy if he's around for another 1-2 years and shocked (and delighted) for 3.

No beef with Jackson as FOY- that guy is NBA level, and performed like it as a freshman.

Leron HM OTOH- a little beef. Was hoping for third team. But that’s what happens when your team goes 4-14 in conference. Hoping for even better from him next year

Leron absolutely should've been on the 3rd team, no question! Dude has been playing at a first team level the last 5 or so games.

Without him we would have possibly went 0-14 in league. Overall importance should factor in somewhat. Without Haas, Purdue would have been where? Without Black we all know where we would have been?:chief:

Congrats to Trent! Well-earned.

Regarding JJJ: he really did deserve it over Trent. Guy's a lottery pick. Right now. Playing on a title contender.

Doesn't mean that Trent isn't going to whiten opposing coaches and fans' hair for the next few years. =)

Outstanding for these two to have gotten recognized. I honestly think Black should have made 3rd team, with Frazier. Either way the record was because of everything new for the ILLINI, these two in particular kept it together for us. Congrats on any recognition for them now and in the future.

Terrific achievements by both Leron and Trent. We saw it more closely than others and so we all know how absolutely critical each was to our team, our success and our future. These two players were the core of Illini basketball.

congrats Trent! Now as we look forward to next year (almost), can we please get rid of our awful uniforms? The design and lettering are atrocious. Flying Illini whites should be used more and we need new concepts for everything else. And I'm not an old fart, I'm a millennial.

Well, I am an old fart and I agree with this request. :thumb:

And congrats to Trent and Leron. Very proud of their achievements this year and am already looking forward to next year.

Congrats Trent! Quite an honor. The future is so bright with you leading the charge. I don't think i have been this stoked over an ILLINI player since Dee & Deron.
