Please stop making me laugh this soon into the new year.Ha! Toupee' my friend!
That has been my concern. Here is a guy who has poured his heart and soul into basketball for his entire life. (Up at 4-5 every morning to shoot!) How is he dealing with this. It could really break him or could make him stronger if he is able to emerge from it.What makes me happy in all of this is that even if TSJ is unable to play this season (and I hope he does!), it sounds like he has some connected people in his corner to vouch for his character, which would bode well for him in still having a shot to play at the next level.
For us, it’s a game. For him, it’s his livelihood.
I was thinking of a basketball weave play but this of course is even better. Nice.Ha! Toupee' my friend!
he didn’t say smells a little fishy. Coal, your comment may be in the Too Soon category.Fishy? LOL intentional or not that was pretty good
Exactly. Not hearing much about prior sexual allegations by the accuser since the last thread. IMO, that would be damning to the case especially if both were accompanied by financial demands to keep it quiet. In fairness to the accuser, I'm not saying that happened. I'm just imagining a scenario. Here is my second-hand inside info -- the same alleged victim has also made a prior rape allegation against a KU basketball player, and the allegation was not believed by the KU program after investigation.
Bill Self and Underwood are also very good friends.
This might be a dumb question, but can the defense use this in their case to show that the accuser's claims might not be credible? Here is my second-hand inside info -- the same alleged victim has also made a prior rape allegation against a KU basketball player, and the allegation was not believed by the KU program after investigation.

If this is true, I feel much better about my homerism telling me TJ is innocent. Here is my second-hand inside info -- the same alleged victim has also made a prior rape allegation against a KU basketball player, and the allegation was not believed by the KU program after investigation.

Kansas law also states that consent in general must be informed. We have one person quoting the actual statutes versus another person stating falsehoods in this situation such as "mis representation falls under rape in Kansas law".
Was there a sale on this .gif that I missed?

Exactly. Although the concept is not exactly “creative” it’s a standard aspect of law that consent/acceptance must be informed.Kansas law also states that consent in general must be informed.
It's entirely plausible that the DA and ADA are getting creative with the statutes and inventing a "rape by deception" charge that is somehow equivalent to force.
The inclusion of the radically lesser alternative charge tells us they know they're standing on shaky ground.

Not to mention that any chances of being an all-American and big ten honors are probably gone. Especially when he hasn't been convicted of anything yet. Just a big pile of steaming crap the way this has all gone down. What makes me happy in all of this is that even if TSJ is unable to play this season (and I hope he does!), it sounds like he has some connected people in his corner to vouch for his character, which would bode well for him in still having a shot to play at the next level.

Feel free to quote me, but always remember,
"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made."
Fighting felony charges is fluid. The range of possible outcomes is insane here, a committee meets tomorrow morning and he's on the court for the NW game, to the other extreme of 50+ years in prison. Not to mention that any chances of being an all-American and big ten honors are probably gone.
