So you think he committed the crime then?
What you or I think really doesn't matter as far as TSJ playing. What the legal system thinks does. What do you think "zero tolerence" means? Does it mean if a player had a warrant issued for an arrest and is out on bail that you will be able to play in your opinion? I do not think TSJ is guilty but as long as there is a court case then how can he play under a zero tolerence policy? His case unfortunately is for the courts to decide or drop the case. Our thoughts dint matter. Maybe the zero tolerence policy isn't really that but I tend to think it is and will remain such unless charges are dropped and bail money is returned. Hopefully that happens because I do feel he us innocent but thats a legal issue that must be cleared up for TSJ to play if it truly is zero tolerence.

For what it’s worth I just found TJs jersey is back on the NIL store which I can comfirm has been removed since this news broke because I kept checking the site to buy one.

I’m sure they can do that. Nothing legally is keeping TSJ from playing. If they were to go through with it they better be 200% certain that TSJ is innocent (not “not-guilty”) of all charges. Then prepare for the hell storm from everyone who is not an Illini fan and even some who are.
You can’t be “innocent.” The law isn’t set up that way. It’s beholden on the gummint to prove guilt. If they don’t prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, the jury says “not guilty.” That’s all the court can do, and it’s all that anyone should expect.

For me it's not about not having evidence, but I worry we wouldn't survive the optics of it. We do need to keep recruiting after TSJ leaves, after all, and you don't want coaches from opposing teams smearing us our or practices when we're in tight recruiting battles. We'd weather it because we have a staff that's great at identifying talent, but I don't think the DIA would want to do something that would make it any more difficult for them if possible to avoid it.

As a parent I’m going to be far more impressed by a program that does the right thing and stands by my kid than one that cuts bait just to save face.

I just read from a reputable news source the committee met today and I just found TJs jersey is back on the NIL store which I can comfirm has been removed since this news broke because I kept checking the site to buy one.
It also says it’s unavailable

I agree. I'm not suggesting that TSJ should be reinstated without knowing all the facts, but IF those who have the information truly believe that he is getting a raw deal and will ultimately be acquitted, it takes more courage to "do the right thing" and let him play than it does to play it safe and keep him off the court simply to appease the court of public opinion.

I mean, despite everything we think we know right now, I'm still not sure it's the time to rush out and buy a TSJ jersey.

There’s zero chance TSJ is reinstated if the felony rape charge is still pending even if the mountain of evidence is in his favor. The University won’t risk it plain and simple. That charge in the least needs to be dropped. I’m assuming that is what is being worked on currently and hoping we see him back soon.
