The one thing that I find interesting from the accuser perspective is she claims a guy waved her over and they had a brief interaction when the incident occurred

How did she know to search the Illinois Basketball roster? Even if Illinois was playing KU that weekend I wouldn’t think another sport player from Illinois would be there? If the interaction occurred what did he say to her that she thought basketball player either from KU or Illinois

I think the accuser needs a witness saying the interaction occurred more than TSJ saying it didn’t. To be honest an interaction lasting less than a minute probably did not catch the attention of anyone. I am interested how the DA is planning on proving beyond a reasonable doubt this occurred. There is no DNA, TSJ has at least one person saying they didn’t see it. If the defense shows anything false in her story there is not much for the DA to fall back on

A few thoughts I haven’t seen mentioned:

1. Judge Lawless almost certainly wont rule on the TRO on Friday. She will hear argument from both sides and then likely issue a written ruling next week. I’m just a lawyer on this forum, but I would be shocked if she granted the TRO, it’s a huge hurdle.

2. I’ve read the entire complaint and all exhibits as well as TSJ’s letter written after the panel upheld the suspenation. Here is my concern: no where does TSJ give his side of the story. He just says “I was there, with ___ people, and I am innocent.” On one hand, his lawyers have incentives to say as little as possible. On the other hand they are responding to direct allegations that he fingered her without consent. What I expected to see was him saying “I did not touch the woman” or “I kissed or only touched her over her clothes.” I really did think TSJ was “innocent“ leading up to his complaint filed with the court. But now that I’ve read it, I’m concerned that the most favorable situation here now is that he grabbed her butt under her skirt (which is the act leading to the lesser misdemeanor battery). He can’t exactly admit to doing that or the public would excute him (never mind his college career being over).

3. Did anyone else catch that TSJ’s complaint says the preliminary hearing wont be held for about 90 days? The initial hearing on the 18th will just be a read of the charge where TSJ pleads not guilty. Then we will wait 90 days for the hearing where the judge determines if there is probable cause to proceed.

All in all, I have little hope (legally) that this goes away before the end of the season.

They generally get fed up with the comments and check out when things get obnoxious. I believe LVille posted exactly that a couple days ago.

Don't blame them at all. However you can find Indy and 0440 hiding in the Football Coaching Carousel thread....which is a way more fun topic.
I think we all are just emotionally exhausted by now. This whole thing just really sucks and is not fair to TJ, all I will say for now. It is obviously in the hands of a judge on Friday, I am cautiously optimistic it will go his way, but these things are never certain one way or another

Yeah, this happens all the time on campus bars. Not the 10 seconds of walking over to her as you say… but certainly between two willing and tipsy coeds.

People would sneak into Kams basement and have some fun…

A girl that slept with half the football team got happily Eiffel Towered on the dance floor by two football players one night I was there…

I’m sure there’s plenty of consensual fingering while dancing going on at campus bars every weekend…

Delete if inappropriate…
That is an insane risk to take in the middle of a dance floor.

A majority of us on here appreciate all the info you guys provide. We know you guys don't have to share anything, but choose to anyway. It just sucks when we lose out on potential info because of trolls or bigotry. Thank you for your info :hailtotheorange:

I just scrolled 8 pages of hot takes and personal projections about a kid being railroaded by a local prosecutor and a crappy situation all around. I’m questioning my choices.

If anyone not personally involved in this could just stop yapping for a while that would be outstanding.

We get it, you have feelings and they must be expressed.

Go you.

He needs a witness who recalls seeing him not doing something to come forward?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered and I missed it somewhere. I have seen several posts in these threads of people suggesting that the DA might be holding onto evidence that TJs lawyers haven't seen. I always thought that all evidence collected had to be turned over to the defense lawyers. Is that not correct?

Also, to the ones that don't believe that this could happen in a crowded bar and nobody see it, I can attest that it can happen, and happen quickly if the female is wearing the right loose fitting clothing (all consensual btw), and nobody see it. Although, I didn't have another woman on my other arm. But the act itself can definitely happen without someone seeing it

No idea what happened, but can confirm as a 6'7" guy with a 5'5" wife there is no way he is doing the alleged deed without considerable crouching/bending that would be extremely noticeable. Even granting he may have a longer wingspan than mine it just feels beyond unlikely.
I'm 6'2', wife is 5'0" same thing. And if I tried to do this she'd slap the sh*t out of me, maybe worse
If a stranger tried this to her at a bar, it would get real ugly for the dude real quick.

What if he was sitting and she walked over? There goes yours and everyone else’s argument about it not being physically possible.

This thread is full of too many assumptions about things we don’t know any information about.
I do believe it was mentioned earlier that they were standing but I might be wrong. I find it hard she could have made eye contact with him as she left if he was sitting. But that is pure speculation on my part.

I can't wait for the trial when they do a reinactment.
"If it doesn't fit, you must acquit."

As of a couple days ago, TSJ's legal team said that they did not have full discovery.

I am only 6'2" now in my old age and wife 5' 5 and can not be done without bending over..
