They are obligated but likely not yet. Usually at arraignment the defense makes something called a Keller motion which means the prosecution has to turn over what they have. Three month investigation. No grand jury. All the flack the DA has taken? Possible but my guess is if she had some better information it would be out now

Unclear by listening to Ked if the DNA test returned nothing in addition to the accuser's DNA or that the test returned a male sample, but did not match TSJ.
I find it hard to believe that if the DNA test returned another males DNA that they would charge TSJ with rape. Has anyone actually seen that noted in any of the police reports or court documents, or is it just what an Illinois reporter said they heard in an interview.

Not saying they couldn’t have intel, but I feel like that is something TSJs attorneys would have submitted in their TRO documentation with everything else.

Kedric comes on around 23:00
I asked this on the previous thread, but it was closed for game day/the Maryland game right after I posted it: Where did Ked get his info? Is it second hand/rumor or is it based in fact? Hoping for fact (obviously). Thanks.

I’m curious as to why, if what Ked says is true, this information hasn’t been released or mentioned by Shannon’s attorneys, in any of their briefings or otherwise.

The only way I could see Shannon being found guilty is if there is some DNA evidence against him.

Good question. I wish there was a more solid answer. I’d like to think Ked has a solid source and wouldn’t say something like that unless it was true. But the fact that it’s hasn’t been reported anywhere else has me a little skeptical.

100% I’m not sure it’s a thing. It would be great but I have a hard time putting much stock in this until I see it on paper.

Is there any reason it couldn’t be released?

Just wondering - is there a fund set up to help fund TJ's defense that his supporters could donate to? Is that even allowable?

Ditto on this, hoping someone more knowledgeable/informed can fill us in.

He didn’t make that clear. He simply noted that he’s talked to “families” and that he’s close to the team and coaches.

He added that TSJ volunteered to do a DNA test before he was asked to do so.

Even if TJ were granted the TRO / Injunction, it’s possible that isn’t even enough to get him on the court right? The staff doesn’t need to play him just because he’s no longer suspended. It’s feasible to think that the University, which has been fighting and does not believe he should play as long as he’s charged with this serious crime, would tell the DIA and Staff they do not want him playing. Underwood would be risking his own job by playing him in that hypothetical situation.

I also heard what Kedric Prince said about DNA which was basically "There was no DNA match to TSJ." He's talked about being friends with TJ's mother for years, so he would certainly have some inside sources. He bascially said that TSJ voluntarily offered his DNA back in October that he's been adamant from the beginning that he is innocent of these charge, and he was obviously hoping to exonerate himself. I was hoping that there was male DNA found that wasn't a match to TSJ, which theoretically would clear him, but the way Ked stated this information was inprecise, and left it open to interpretation. I took what he said to mean that they didn't find any DNA, period, which wouldn't be surprising under the circumstances. Good news that there was no Terrence Shannon, Jr. DNA found but unless there was other male DNA retrieved, unfortunately, I guess this fact would be inconclusive.

and we don’t know if the attorneys he’s hired are charging him or if it’s pro bono

Isn't there often an arrangement where payment is only given when there is a positive outcome for the client?
