Sons of Anarchy spinoff coming: Mayans MC.

I had heard somewhere that they might do a prequel to Sons that followed Jax's fathers life. I'm glad they didn't go that route. I'm still not sure how interested I'll be in this show either, though. I read the story line for it and it didn't seem all that different than SoA.

I'm sure it's not all that different given they were a constant in the regular SOA. I'm interested to check it out though. I haven't read anything on it though, I do not like spoilers of any kind.

I shouldn't have said storyline. I read a couple of sentences that referenced the basic premise of the show.

Better episode of TWD this week. I'm hoping for some cast reductions next week for the mid season finale.

Am I alone in thinking that this "90 minute" episode was the normal length with more ads?

I dvrd it and started watching it at 830. However, I could tell that there was more content than a typical 1 hour show.

Pretty sure Manhattan and Underground are not USA Network shows.

I was very skeptical about Shooter, but I'm a major Stephen Hunter fan (the author), so I gave it a shot (tee he). It's not bad. Hopefully, will get better.

Finished Goliath and The Night Manager. TNM was great. Goliath was good.

Am watching The Missing. Final episode this week. 2 seasons, 8 episodes per. VVG.

Anyone watching Chance or Good Behavior?

I started it over the weekend. It's definitely a slow burn (I'm only up to Ep 3) but I've got a feeling stuff's about to go sideways. I'd describe it as Hitchcock's "Vertigo" crossed with "Breaking Bad."

Just finished ep. 4. Sideways is right. Foreboding. I'm hooked. Will binge the rest.

S2 of Man in the High Castle premiers on Amazon December 16th. If you didn't watch S1, you're missing out on a quality show.

His having only one eye might have something to do with that. ;)

I agree. The season started out with a bang and has been on a low simmer ever since.

Disappointing to hear. I am 3 or 4 episodes behind, and was looking forward to binging them tomorrow or Monday.

At the time I wrote that, I was about as far as you appear to be. I believe I'm 3 episodes behind. Binging tonight after I finish the season 3 finale of Black Mirror (90 minute episode).

I binged How to Get Away With Murder and loved it. That said, Alfred Enoch (Wes) was the worst actor I have ever seen. But the story line was great.

This show has gone on and off my "watch list" since it arrived on Netflix. One person says they love it, the next say they hate it. Everyone does agree that Viola Davis is amazing, however.

I just read a synopsis of the show. Very interested. Looks like I have my next show to binge. :thumb:

Just finished up "Louie". Good show, not great. I thought the last 2 seasons were a bit of a drag compared to the first 3 seasons. I really like Pamela Adlon. Great actress. Quirky.

Adlon was fantastic in Californication. Her new show, Better Things, is VG.

Just caught 30 for 30, Phi Slama Jama. What a team! The Louisville game in the Final Four is easily one of the best ever.

Binge-worthy shows: Banshee, Strike Back & Penny Dreadful

Adios, Rectify. Great show. Definitely worth a try.

I was thinking of trying Black Mirror. Anyone seen it?

We finished up Chance last night. The series seemed to run out of gas to me. I may pick up the novel to see if the problem is the source material or the show.

Will probably start S2 of The Man in the High Castle soon. The wife is watching The Crown and it looks pretty interesting.

Rectify or black mirror? People's choice...

Rectify or black mirror? People's choice...

I'd recommend Black Mirror; it's an absolute mind-bend. The episodes "Fifteen Million Merits," "White Bear," and "Shut Up and Dance" are some of the best individual episodes of TV I've seen. Since each episode is its own story (like a mini-movie), it's easy to go back in and out.

Rectify isn't a bad choice. I think it's underappreciated, partly because people don't know about it.
