Do the Marvel series interact with one another? I want to say I heard/read somewhere that some of them tie into the the movies somehow. Seems interesting. Must be just like the comic books where different stories and characters are interwoven.

I've only watched Jessica Jones, but my understanding is that they're all standalone, but do incorporate references to the rest of the universe.

Another question about the Marvel series, any of them. Do they feel comic bookish, I have never been a fan of any of those kinds of movies or genre.

I've only ever seen a few of the Arrow (Green Arrow DC Comics) episodes and bits and pieces of others, I didn't get that vibe at all. I thought they were well made and most of the different series, Marvel and DC, seem to be doing quite well.

Neither am I. All I can say is give them a try. I really liked season 1 of Jessica Jones and Daredevil (although the omnipotence of Fisk was over the top). The Flash is pretty good too. A lot like Arrow too.

Agents of Shield references the Avengers/Iron Man/Cap/Thor films and there is some bleed-over of minor characters in the films (not to mention Phil Coulson, who is the central point of AoS). Agent Carter follows the SHIELD story line post WWII and references that era of characters introduced in Captain America.

I haven't seen enough of any of the others to comment, other than Ant Man is in every single episode of every show, you just can't see him. :D

On another note, I watched the first 5 episodes of Mr. Robot going to/from Vegas this week. I'm hooked, but I'll admit that there are some significant holes in their technology. I can't decide yet if there are plot holes because so much goes on in Elliott's mind.

I think I saw you there, at the Westgate, right?;)

Venetian, with an obligatory stop at the nicely remodeled (but still quite a dump) Casino Royale. CR is the best place on the strip to see multiple people passed out at nickle slot machines.

I wasn't one of them, I swear.

Sure..... lol. I was at the Westgate for a pool tournament. It's always opening weekend of the NCAA tourney. :tsk: But yeah, it used to be held at the Riviera for years and years so I know how it gets around the 5 cent slot areas of the old school casinos. :D I'm very happy that I never get bitten by gambling fever, well except for my first trip to Vegas 20+ years ago. Since that time I will occasionally throw a $20 bill into a video poker machine at the bar for some free drinks or a one armed bandit if there happens to be an attractive lady sitting next to it. ;)

Garry Shandling passed away today at the age of 66. Comedian who was well known to many people for The Larry Sanders Show, one of the best comedies I've ever watched. If you get a chance to find clips on youtube, they're well worth the watch. That show had an influence on shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Office.

Also had a show on Showtime during the 1980s called "It's Garry Shandling's Show".

Most younger people will remember him more recently for playing Senator Stern in Iron Man 2 and Captain America: Winter Soldier.

Shandling was great. The Larry Sanders Show was hilarious. He'll be missed.

The White Shadow, Ken Howard, died yesterday. Good actor.

This Daredevil scene may not have garnered as much attention as some of the [fantastic] fight choreography, but the conversation Murdock has with Melvin to create a suit as a "symbol" was very well done all the way around (S1E11).

Zipped through Silicon Valley, based on feedback here. Love it. Can't wait for season 3.

Scene where they're talking about BO at end of season 1 is great. Then Russ Hanneman is great.

I will avoid posting The Walking Dead finale spoilers, but I will acknowledge my excitement for season 7.

Tonight was just a glimpse of what is to come.

Lots of whining about the ending. I thought it was pretty cool. Negan is already my favorite character on the show.

Negan was fantastic. He completely captured the screen for those last 10 or so minutes. I've read many complaints about AMC and how they should have had a "Red Wedding" styled (Game of Thrones) episode, as this scene was one of the most iconic moments in the comic, but I'm perfectly content with how it ended. Now, if they dance around the cliffhanger to kick off season 7, then I'll say they handled it poorly. Until then, bravo.

Decided to go Daredevil S1, Jessica Jones S1, Daredevil S2. Starting..........now!

*Pace yourself, Ian...*

I gave Jessica Jones plenty of time - 7 episodes - but I can't get into it. I do like Luke Cage and am interested in his own show.

I do want to see a Punisher and Electra show.
