If Abrams...or JCL could've hit anything tonight...we probably win. Hill's a helluva player

Thank you to the seniors. Special thank you to Tracy Abrams, who made this year much more tolerable and even enjoyable in many spots.

Let's start the Underwood era as we are bidding a fond farewell to the final vestiges of the Weber era.

Thank you seniors. Underwood turn this around please

They played like it was the biggest game of their lives. We played like it was the NIT.

Thank you seniors! Let's hope that no more of our seniors will have to say their last game was in the NIT for a long long time.

Bummer. But man, Malcolm Hill did not want to go gently into that good night. Going to miss him and Tracy and Maverick and all the seniors.

Malcolm is going to make good money in Europe (worst case scenario) and so will Morgan. Their efforts are appreciated. However, this regime....from staff to roster, needs a complete overhaul. It's good to start fresh. Knowing the outcome of these games before they started was depressing. Time to turn the page to bigger and better things for all.

Don't think playing at SFC would have made a difference. Same story, seen time after time, get blown out from the start, realize we need to play at the end, but only to fall short.

I disagree. They outhustled us most of the night, but having a full house yelling for them certainly probably helped their motivation & may have even gotten them a couple calls. It is also beneficial to shoot in buildings you are familiar with.

Would be nice to see the illini and seniors keep on playing at MSG, but I am glad that Underwood can get moving with next season, and get his staff finalized and talk to the recruits. Securing the current class and potentially adding Smith has greater value than a few more extra practices and games.

Agreed. If you put us in SFC for those last 3 minutes, I think we actually would have completed the comeback.

Is anyone else wondering how this UCF team wasn't in the big dance? Or at least on the bubble? They have a giant (who can actually play basketball), a guard who can light it up from anywhere in the building, and multiple other guys who can shoot and finish around the rim. Plus they are pretty athletic.

Thanks to the seniors!

I'm now looking forward to the BUnderwood era.

Does that make us BUnderHeads? If the team followed MF and got man buns it would work!

Ok, I'm leaving now.

It would. We've played much better at home than on the road this season. It's tough to play in an environment like that.

Yes made me look at the schedule. Looks like they struggled to score at times. They had a strech where they lost 6 of 7 but were playing really well at the end of the season.

Any comments from Walker about why Kipper did not play?

Thanks to the seniors. Feel bad for Malcolm. How can we have so many players on UI basketball team that simply cannot put the ball in the hoop. It has been 4 years of head scratching bipolar shooting by these guys.

Couldn't throw the ball in the ocean for 30 minutes. Makes it awfully tough to come back and win.

They just stormed the court after beating Illinois in the NIT quarterfinals?

Just goes to show beating Illinois means something around the country. Now it is time for kids in Illinois to realize BEING Illinois means something in this state.
